So I will sing praise to Your name forever,That I may daily perform my vows.  Psalm 61:8

The songs of the evangelical people speak of God; those in the world speak of love between friends, spouses, children, and portray nature and other situations. But none of the secular songs are about the love we must have for the Name that is above all names, which gives us access to the Lord and the power to bind Satan and his demons that cross our path or attack us. It seems that we have forgotten the Most High.

The psalmist wanted to sing praises to the Name of the Lord, for in addition to having a just motive — being the Creator of all things and our Redeemer — He also enables us to overcome daily struggles. It is strange to see that no one decided to compose hymns to the glorious Name of the Omnipotent. From now on, having been informed of this, if we look to the Source for all such inspiration, we will be met.

The Name of the Lord gives us victory in battle, getting us in the right position and providing us with the right weapons in order to defeat the kingdom of evil. God’s servant should never tremble or fear when Satan sends one of his demons. Grow in understanding the power of the Name of Jesus, the Sovereign of the Universe, over adverse situations and get rid of them.

David knew what that Name meant. When Goliath defied Israel’s armies, David made mention of him and overcame the big man. That was a lesson to be learned by the children of God who were oppressed and those who are under any affliction today. Never bring shame home, but using the Name of Jesus, make the adversary ashamed. With Him on your lips, you will perform the works that Christ did and other major works (John 14:12).

Jesus said to the Father, “And I have made your name known to them, and I will make them more known” (John 17:26). The church will still learn to consecrate itself in Word study and prayer. Thus you will be able to teach the greatest lesson to the lost. These, because they do not see the same power of God working through us, are deceived by darkness and are not saved. We must always have a new Psalm that honors the Name of the Lord!

The king said he would pay his vows day by day. In the face of any problem, David prayed, went out to the devil – the chief of evil – and shamed him. Again, I say: We must believe and do the will of the Lord. Then, in the blink of an eye, we will see that we have vows to pay each day and we will succeed when temptations arise.

Paul declared: I have fought the good fight, I have finished my race, I have kept my faith (2 Tim. 4: 7). Unfortunately, many are asking for death because they cannot stand so much oppression. But a true Christian goes all the way, according to the apostle, and should never act defeated, for this speech is proper to the desperate demons in Hell who ask their boss not to provoke the saved. If he does, God will go into action and with fire!

In Christ, with love,

Oh Father! How we have lost battles when we should be collecting victories! Your Word will be honored and confirmed by You. Therefore, we fight with all faith. Hallelujah!

We want to sing Psalms to Thee now, for we have already sung to the people. Give us good lyrics, happy melodies, and the ability to worship you in spirit and in truth. May your love perfect your praise in us!

Pay our vows, though many, as David's praise says when your inspiration was upon him in the great congregation. Every day we will glorify Your mighty Name. Amen!
