Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

John 15:20

There’s no message of no great importance to us our Lord God makes us understand, that is why we must pay heed to what He teaches us considering that in those lessons we find everything we need to win battles. Once having been enlightened we have what we need to become winners. After such enlightening for the miracles to come true we only need to believe in what has been said to us previously.

A very significant fact to be considered is Jesus being firm in saying that we inherit everything our Father gave to Him. Therefore, we must not get anything that is not written in the Scriptures in that the servant will never be greater than The Lord. If He was not given a specific knowledge let alone any mortal. If one day you happen to understand something different from what is written in the Word of God you must rebuke it altogether.

A Christian should not mind whether people will listen or not to the message he or she must get across. Just like Christ managed to take the Truth  to the people, so will we. Those who belong to the Most High – although they might even be driven by a sin – will certainly hear the voice of the Lord through us. In fact, those who are to be saved will be brought into our presence to listen, from us, to the message which will deliver them from the powers of darkness.

In the past, not everybody who heard Jesus believed. Many deemed Him as a fraud and a trickster. Well, since we’re not better than The Son of God we will not be more successful than Him. And we are not to fall into the temptation either of being carried away by the hope that, if we use selling techniques such as marketing and other such selling appeals, we will be able to crowd our churches. That might even occur but actually none of that comes from God. What comes from flesh is flesh indeed (John 3:6).

Jesus had a hard time with many people that did not accept His Word; some of them even got to the point of persecuting Him. Since demons still act in this world sooner or later we will also be persecuted. In fact, The Holy Spirit warns us in saying that all those who live piously in Christ will be subjected to persecution. Sometimes it comes from the very family of God in that some of its members, for being in sin, feel they have a right to persecute those who live a life which pleases the Lord; other times persecution comes from the appeals of a variety of religions which envy our success in faith.

Whatever the case we must not get desperate. The hellish hatred that overwhelms many people will drive all its anger to shut us up, but the love that wraps up many others will as well – a love which makes them belong to God – turn us into being wrapped up with prayers. Both at times of peace and at times of persecution, those who are faithful to our Father will never fail to accomplish the mission He’d given them. If we are obedient and if we do not move from our hope we will rule along with Jesus.

In Christ, with love,
