For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,  teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.

Titus 2: 11, 12

Something very important brought by Jesus to this world which wasn’t taken back along with Him is the grace of God which is the divine operation working on our behalf by forgiving us and making us born again into a life of hope (I Peter 1: 3). Despising such grace is very absurd considering that, without it, we’ll be stuck in the harsh Law – a Law completely impossible to be fully fulfilled – and precisely for that reason we will not be blessed in the end.

The grace of God came to bring salvation to all men. It’s quite a complex work once the human spirit goes through total transformation and then all of our sins are undone. Then, the moment we have such grace we’re capacitated to understand the commandments and fulfil them which makes us become pleasant to The Lord. Thus He can give us everything we need for a righteous living in His presence.

Yet, differently from the message preached by some people the divine grace didn’t come to this world only to save some people; in fact, it was poured out onto all mankind. Men only need to open up their hearts for the divine power to operate the greatest miracle of all times: salvation itself. And then, once saved, we are delivered from any oppression and healed from all sorts of disease and then we can get the solution to all of our troubles.

The grace of The Lord is nothing but the very operation of The Holy Spirit in our lives. It’s a quite excellent Master because it tells right from wrong; and if, by any chance, we happen to take detours and risk being heading towards any evil way it turns out that the grace of God makes us feel such an intense sorrow that we promptly understand that that path was actually leading us towards death. With the teachings from Above we won’t remain in error any longer and thus we’ll be pleasing our God and Father.

One of the convictions that Grace grants us is that we must deny ungodliness – a lack of respect for the sacred. A newly-converted person will promptly sense they mustn’t mess with the issues of God and that if they won’t deny all sorts of ungodliness they will fail to feel the divine touch and then they’ll take to being interested in the issues of flesh which will turn them into a quite easy prey to satisfy the enemy’s desires.

The divine grace can do a great deal for those who are accepted into the family of God and, as a result, they become His children, but they must follow the counsels and the directions of The Most High. Yet, those who still are giving in to the uncontrolled desires of flesh have not experienced in fact the grace of The Lord; as a matter of fact, many people carry on with their lives as though it did not exist.

The will of our Father is for us to live this present age soberly, righteously and godly. That’s why He granted us His Spirit so His grace could operate abundantly in the Body of Christ by righteously leading His members into denying worldly passions.

My prayer is that you may live the grace of God fully!

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
