09/09/2015 - DEVIL´S SERVANT

The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. 1 John 3.8

It´s impossible that there is a person that does not sin. Therefore, the Lord declared that we have a Lawyer along with Him: Jesus, the Righteous One (1 John 2:1). So, a logical question arises: is the devil the one who sins? The answer is no. it´s one thing to live deliberately in iniquity, wanting to practice it; and the other is when the servant of God trips on something and misses the target.

In the verse we are studying, it talks about the act of sinning, when someone chooses this path to live. Then, this person proves that she or he never saw the Lord (3 John 1:11), or that she preferred to love the enemy and his filthy works. When we miss the target, something bothers us in our interior and makes us feel that what we did was not good. Then, if we are of God, we enter into prayer, we confess our error, we receive forgiveness and we stay alert so that we don’t fall into sin again.

If you fall into transgression, do not let the sun go down while over your error (Ephesians 4:26). Seek the Lord and tell Him everything wrong you have done, ask Him to forgive you and to cleanse you from all iniquity. Thus, your communion with Him will be reestablished. Strive not to submit yourself to temptation and sin again. If you don’t confess and remain in error, you will be enslaved by the devil.

Now, if the person sins deliberately, if she is committed to do such illicit act, she becomes a servant of Satan (John 8:34). It will be a little bit more difficult to let go of such sinful life, unless the person seeks the Lord with all her heart. It´s good to always be alert and not accept any offers from Satan; which usually come as something normal and pleasing. Therefore, reject everything that comes from the evil one.

For us to be delivered from the empire of darkness, the Son of God left His glory, took our form, went to the Calvary and offered Himself to replace us, and thus, set us completely free from Satan´s ownership. Today, only those that have no good sense or prefer eternal perdition remain under the devil´s authority. All the person needs to do is to listen to the Word of God and believe in it for her to be forgiven and saved.

In His death, Jesus undid the works of the devil, and therefore, anybody that calls upon His Name will be saved (Romans 10:13). Satan´s works amongst mankind were already destroyed; therefore, for these works to no longer exist in your life, just believe this truth and obey the Scriptures. Don’t give your strength to the devil by doing wrong things, for you have already been set free from the kingdom of darkness.

No one should serve somebody who is completely wicked and only does evil, for if this person remains under his dominion, she will certainly be destroyed. This is the most important moment to take such wise decision, in order to be delivered from all evil oppression. The person who is under the authority of the enemy does not know happiness, but only suffering.

In Christ, with love,

God, the liberator! It is sad to receive the title of servant of the devil. If this takes place with any person, she will never own her life, for such evil will dominate her. To not be Your son and remain under the rule of the evil one is the greatest defeat of all.

It would be good if we never fell in sin, but sometimes we do stumble. However, if we repent and ask for Your forgiveness, You will indeed forgive us. We cry for mercy for those people that delight in doing wrong things.

We know Jesus undid the works of the devil, therefore, we can live freely from the actions of such loathsome being. Do not allow us to be deceived by the enemy, who only wants to destroy us. We want to have You as our Lord!
