What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!

Romans 6:15

Before the coming of Jesus to this world, those who wanted to be free from the enemy’s actions and thus serve God had to obey the law of the Lord to the letter. In so doing they managed to have their sins covered momentaneously and could thus receive divine help. With the coming of the Son of God, the grace and truth came to dwell in us. Today, those who accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord is conveyed from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light (I Peter 2:9), and therefore the grace of God reigns over them. Now, those who place themselves under the Law will never be victorious.

At the time of the Law, people had to work hard to get to serve God. Today, it is easier because after conversion we are united with the Lord and His grace makes us imitators of Christ (I Corinthians 11:1). Then we start to understand the Scriptures, we have the power to say no to sin, and most importantly, once we are guided by the Holy Spirit, we can do the same things that the Lord Jesus did.

It may seem absurd for anyone to declare that we are being too daring when we assert that we can accomplish what Jesus did, but it was He who ensured that (John 14:12). Those who are born into God\’s family become His heir automatically. So it depends on us to work the same miracles which were performed by the Lord. You do not have to struggle to do the same works. Even if you have fallen into sin and as a result you feel you are unworthy of grace, do not let the devil fool you. You just have to confess your transgression to God and take possession of what was given to you by the Lord in Christ.

The devil has kept many children of God in error. The enemy tempts them and if they accept his suggestions, he convinces them that because they had wrongful thoughts God will not answer. Even if you have fallen but confessed your sin – or if you confess it now – you can be used by the Lord to perform the miracle you need. Be strong now, pray and believe that God\’s blessings already belong to you.

Watch, pray, fight, do whatever it takes so as not to sin. But if, unfortunately, you have sinned, do not hide it anymore. Make amends with the Lord and with the person against whom you sinned. Then say the prayer of faith and consider yourself completely forgiven and attended to. Do not get carried away by the lies of the deceiver. If you believe in the devil, you are believe in the one who is a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44). By extension, you will be lying too and will be calling God a liar.

Your life – as well as the lives all those who belong in God’s family – must be a life of constant praise to the Lord. However, we have heard people giving excuses for why they have not been blessed. This should not be so; after all, God’s children are supposed to be winners in all situations. We must wake up because we will be held accountable for what we allowed the devil do in us and through us!

In Christ with love,
