30/07/2023 - DO NOT DESPISE YOUR MINISTRY

Indeed He says, ‘It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles, That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.’ Isaiah 49.6

The call to ministry is one of the best gifts we receive from the Most High. Through it, we glorify the Creator for the complete work done at the right time. From the time we were a shapeless mass, God called us by name and prepared us to be in the highest position – to represent Him day and night, according to His will: But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace (Galatians 1.15).

Those who leave the ministry for any reason, mainly to become businessmen or politicians, or because they have grown tired of living as servants to all, miss out on the highest distinction and retribution that awaited them at the consummation of the centuries. Those who give up as a result of sins should have learned from King David. He repented of his error and was cleansed with hyssop, as he requested (read Psalm 51). Ask Adam if it was good to frustrate the Lord!

Some have not learned that just desiring the ministry is already a reason to present themselves to God, approved as workers, without having anything to be ashamed of (2 Timothy 2.15). The ministerial call can come from many reasons, and one of them is desire: This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the  position of a bishop, he desires a good work (1 Timothy 3.1). This does not mean that these people will leave everything to serve the Lord, but that they will fulfill the divine will without failing.

Paul said that there are different gifts, and some were given to establish the work, such as the gift of apostleship. However, there are those who have another ministry, and all of them are of great importance: And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues (1 Corinthians 12.28). The right thing is to go all the way, without questioning or rebelling (Daniel 12.3).

Those called to the ministry must be respected in their vocation, because the Lord made it. If the mission of one differs from that of another, it should not be viewed as comparing natural abilities. Paul received the gift to be a light to the Gentiles, and Peter and James, to care for the church among the Jews. There is a variety of abilities; after all, the work is far greater than we imagine. Follow your calling!

The Son of God was given the gift of being the Savior and fulfilled what was given to Him with praise. This is what the Lord expects from us, but some no longer do the divine will, because they have become a land full of thorns: Now the ones that fell among thorns are those who, when they have heard, go out and are choked with cares, and riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to maturity (Luke 8.14). Take care not to fall!

The return of Christ to seek His Church is approaching, and many people live as if He is not going to return. Now, this event may occur today, or in the coming days, months or years. But this event will occur, because the Word of the Lord says so. Get ready so that you don’t get lost!

In Christ, with love,

Lord! It is a waste of eternal happiness when one exchanges the ministry for the opportunities of the wide path. When Jesus returns, the deserter will see his sad decision become the order to march toward endless torment. Christ is the Truth!

As for those of us who watch with You, asking for help to do Your work and not to reject it, consecrating ourselves to fulfill, with excellence, Your call, we will see Your lips inviting us into the Kingdom prepared from the beginning!

Working for You is pleasurable. By being used to recover lives, delivering them from the lake of fire and brimstone, we will receive from You an eternal reward for every soul redeemed. The salvation of those who were destined for death rejoices Your heart. You are love!
