But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath. But let your “Yes” be “Yes,” and your “No,” “No,” lest you fall into judgment.
James 5:12
We need to learn the role that words play in our lives; after all we are and have what we say. As a matter of fact, our life will be what our lips utter so we had better take good care of what we say because when once we pronounce a word, it starts to rule us. He who says negative things becomes involved in an unhealthy atmosphere but on the other hand, he who declares the word of God proves to be sent by Him.
It is best to speak only what is consistent with the Bible because in so doing there will be no condemnation to us and neither will we give place for the entrance of evil. When we make use of what the Lord says we are always positive and victorious. However, when we say what we think then we are easy prey to the enemy.
My brother, if you want to change your life, you first have to observe what you have been saying and as soon as you find out that what comes out of your mouth displeases God, you will have to speak only of what is based on the holy revelation. By basing yourself on the Bible to make any decisions, you will be a winner! Do not invoke any power to confirm what you say and do not take any oaths in an attempt to get your words to have credibility because you shall not swear falsely. Do not trifle with words; truth must be told, and lie discarded.
The right thing to do is to say \”yes\” to what the Lord says and \”no\” to everything that is condemned by the revelations of the Father. The Scriptures must be taken seriously and should never be neglected because those who establish themselves on what the Holy Book says will never be ashamed. Now, there is nothing better than speaking the truth because that is how God\’s justice is manifested. Hesitations will only lead to our downfall. So not even for a second should you allow suspicion to dwell in your heart concerning what God says. Never think of accepting what He condemns, for he who doubts what the Bible says falls in the snare of the enemy.
It is simple to keep standing on your feet: do all you can so as not to be condemned. Those who are weak in the fear of the Lord let the devil instill lies in their heart, but for those who are in Christ Jesus, there is no condemnation (Romans 8:1a). Be always firm on what you learn in the Scriptures and even if the whole world condemns you, do not relinquish the revelation!
