Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; For the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.

Proverbs 3: 25, 26

The devil knows exactly what to do to drive someone away from the presence of The Lord; when they least expect it, Satan breaks in with an unpleasant news; thus, they get desperate and begin fearing. On and off the news is about a diagnosis of a serious disease; a threat of divorce; an intrigue; slander; denigration; calumny or an insult; and when that happens those who are not standing firm in The Word let their heart be filled up with fear.

The devil knows that it is hard for someone to stand firm on The Rock, Jesus, in case they fear any of the hellish assaults considering that, unconsciously, the attitude of those who let themselves be carried away by fear gives them a label of those who turn back. Now, we are instructed to walk by faith, not by sight (II Corinthians 5: 7)! That is the reason why what comes against us are altogether is insignificant; so we need always to recall that, in all things, we have been made more than conquerors (Romans 8: 37).

Even facing devastation either from an accident, a job loss, an abandoning spouse, or from a friend’s betrayal, you must not let fear get into your spirit. If The Lord promised He would never leave us or abandon us, what is the point of fearing? In case some struggle comes up on your journey through life, carry on believing that no evil will ever cause you any harm; after all, with the Name of The Lord Jesus you can turn ineffective all hellish assaults.

Fear is a wide open high gate which causes the devil to get into your life and to put an end to your work. Faith is the only antidote to that feeling. But, apart from being a feeling, fear is also an evil spirit which was not given to us by our Father. Therefore, my brother, you must absolutely reject any of the offerings from the devil. Do not fail being what Jesus planned you to be with his death on the Calvary: a winner in all senses.

God says to you not to be afraid of any of these two assaults from the enemy: Sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes. If He gives us those warnings we cannot think otherwise. The secret is for us always to be connected to Christ and not to let us be carried away by the devilish lies. If you have given room for the empty talks of Satan to catch you then it is time for you to repent and confess your sin to The Lord and stand up to go for your victory!

Only you can make that decision. Provided that you don´t fear, God will be your Hope. Yet, if you let fear get into your heart, then He will not be able to be what He states He is for His children. He says: “I am Your God!” That is sufficient! We don’t need to hear anything else from Him for us to become winners. And He still assures us that everything we determine in The Name of Jesus will be done to us.

You must never allow fear to set up in your heart because even if you treaded upon one of Satan’s snares, The Lord would keep your feet from being caught up. Therefore, stand firm and do not be afraid of any of the assaults from the devil.

In Christ, with love,

R. R. Soares
