29/11/2010 - DO NOT KEEP COMPANY WITH THE UNCLEAN

I wrote to you in my epistle not to keep company with sexually immoral people. (I Corinthians 5:9)

Nobody becomes a prostitute by accident. The individual who falls into any sin is overcome by the enemy. Those who are in prostitution are away from God and will continue this way until they truly repent, confess their sins and attain the Lord’s forgiveness. If you do not repent, you will be doomed to eternal torment. Prostitution in all its forms is a victory of the devil over the lives of those who have yielded to it.

The Word warns us that Satan walks around us seeking whom he may devour (I Peter 5:8) and to achieve his goal he sends temptations. If people do not resist them, he will send his demons to dominate them. Once under the satanic dominion, individuals sear their heart and start to think that there is nothing wrong in using their body as they see fit. Whoever engages in any sin becomes a servant of that transgression, and by extension, of the evil one as well.

The demons use and abuse those who are under their dominion. I\’ve seen saints of God become slaves of the worst evil spirits. As servants of evil, they have no free will; they lose power, composure, and believe that what they do is normal. The devil is a bad boss because he treats those who follow him as slaves in the vilest possible ways.

The saddest thing is to see is that these people not only dishonor their own bodies but will also go through the second death. As ministers of reconciliation between God and men we have to work, devote ourselves to the Lord, and meditate on His Word in order to receive a guideline to help the lost ones. With divine inspiration, we will be able to deliver the unfortunate who have fallen into the webs of Satan.

All of us children of God have to learn that our garment must be clean at all times (Ecclesiastes 9.8). The devil is constantly walking around us so if he notices we have been tainted by sin he will come into our lives. Therefore, we cannot give him a chance to become our master. His nature is bad and he will turn into hell the lives of those who give him a foothold. The right thing to do is to never yield to temptation.

The Word of God is clear: do not keep company with those who live in prostitution (see I Corinthians 5:9-11). If you join someone in that situation, you are in rebellion and your life will no longer be the same. You can announce God’s plan for them and intercede with the Father on their behalf but never band with them for their lord is the devil and they may be used by the enemy to do you harm.  He who obeys the Word also loves the Lord (John 14:21).

In Christ with love,

R. R. Soares
