02/07/2015 - DO NOT LET GOD ABANDON YOU

Why should You be like a man astonished, Like a mighty one who cannot save? Yet You, O LORD, are in our midst, And we are called by Your name; Do not leave us!  Jeremiah14:9

The kingdom of Judah arose from the insurrection lead by Jeroboam when Rohoboam, son of Solomon, ruled in Israel. The rebels formed a kingdom with ten tribes out of the twelve tribes and kept the name of Israel. The dominion of David´s grandson was restricted to the tribes of Judah and Benjamin. They were governed by some kings who feared the Lord. However, the others despised Him, which saddened the Most High

The fate of the people was the captivity in Babylon, for they went astray from God so much, that He also went astray from them. Ignoring the celestial Father´s love always brings a harsh lesson. God does not tolerate ungratefulness. It is simply inadmissible for someone who was helped by Him to decide not to serve Him, thus, remaining in sin or in the vanity of his desires.

The prophet cried out to the Most High to have mercy for the chosen generation, but his request was denied. Be careful with your way of life! The devil is walking near us like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), and he has managed to lead many people to error. Therefore, the divine warning is: those who are standing must fight not to fall (1Cor 10:12).

The person, who remains in sin and tries to justify her act, one day, will find out that the Almighty God´s patience has ended. Why despise God´s love and accept Satan´s hatred? Besides eternal perdition, which is much worse than you can imagine, your life will be complete sorrow. If the doors are open for the evil one, you and your family will experience every type of evilness.

Some people are so fooled by the evil one that they think an opportunity will come to them in the last moment. When the Lord said that Judah would be taken to Babylon in captivity, prophet Jeremiah, who knew how to come close to the Lord and pray to be answered, tried to change that fate, but he was not successful! Do not let God abandon you.

When God issued a decree, nothing makes Him retreat. Although Jeremiah was His servant and lived in His presence, doing His will, he was not answered, for the people of Judah had gone too far in the rebelliousness. There will come a time when many people will hear the same answer from the Lord, because they did not take His mercy into consideration and they loved sin. So take this moment to confess your error and receive God´s forgiveness.

The best is to fight and battle not to fall into transgression. Why leave from divine presence and abandon holiness? There is no comparison between living in the presence of God and out of it. With Him you have everything; away from Him, you will experience Hell´s hatred.

In Christ, with love,

Resolute God! We do not want to come to a point where there is no more of Your merciful work. You talked about Your people who said you had no more pleasure in them. Lord! Help us remain in Your presence.

If we despise Your grace, what will be our fate? Do not let us move away from You and don’t You move away from us. Your patience has a limit. Therefore, we came to make a confession of our mistakes, of our worldly habits that shame You.

Father, those who are in sin must stop with it right now! They cannot trust their own wisdom, and think that if they can convince You, they will be spared. May it not be too late for them. May they seize the door which is about to close. They must prove that they love You.
