For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. Hebrews 8:10

The promise was made to the house of Israel, not to the house of Jacob. Actually, those names refer to the same person. Jacob was Israel’s name before fighting with God as a prince and prevailing. After that encounter, the Lord changed Jacob’s name to Israel. The covenant was made with the house whose leader underwent a life-changing experience with the Most High. Today, the saved are part of God’s Israel, and all the promises are for them, including this one.

This is the New Covenant, which began with the shedding of Jesus’ blood spattered in the heavenly Holy of Holies. All those who convert and accept the salvation brought by the Son of God become a new creature, owing nothing more to sin and becoming part of this New Covenant, which the Almighty will not fail to fulfill.

The understanding of an individual who was born of God brings in itself the laws of the Lord; therefore, when he reads or hears the preaching of the Word, the message is immediately grasped because it’s been kept inside him. That is why the born-again won’t be deceived by any false prophets even if they perform all kinds of wonders; after all, since they’re false they won’t be able to speak according to the laws written in the heart of the saved.

Christians shouldn’t be desperate to find a message to deliver to the needy. By casting their eyes on what is written in the Bible, or listening to a sermon, God will cause them to understand the message to be delivered. In a critical situation, if they happen not to have the Word to read or time to attend a service, they will feel in their heart what message is good or not because the Holy Spirit will guide them with regard to what they will say.

In addition to that advantage, which is not a petty one, the saved have the promise that the Lord will be their God. Therefore, they should never yield to the thoughts of incurable evils or unsolvable problems. After all, the Most High is incomparably greater than the evil attacks. As you pray, remaining firm in the Word, the Lord comes into action, giving complete victory to the Christians.

Finally, we are God’s people that He has raised to do His will boldly. God’s people are equipped to lead the work of the Most High into fruition. We will never be forsaken by the One who is Almighty in all His acts. We must always remember that He works through us; therefore you must never turn back or confess that the enemy prevailed.

Never let doubt or the lies of the evil one get into your heart and instill fear in you. If you believe that he will defeat you, this will occur and, sadly, whoever accepts his deceit shall be disconnected from God. If you are in this situation, confess it to the Lord and ask Him for forgiveness.
