The man after God’s own heart had in mind to do the work fully. King David learned not to defeat the enemy partially, for soon he could regroup, and the combat would begin again as if it were another battle. David faced men, but we fight the evil spirits that rule mankind. More than half of the inhabitants on Earth have not yet heard of Jesus and salvation. Stay alert and pray!

Many leave their works unfinished and do not know that such attitude will make the adversary recover and strike them again. One cannot feel pity for the demons, because their desire and goal is to totally destroy the human being. The time has come for the Church to walk as Christ walked, doing good and healing those oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38). The Lord will be with he who renounces himself and obeys Him!

Joshua saw that with the sun going down, the night would not allow him to overcome his enemies. So he prayed to the Lord, who told him that He would prolong that day for almost another 24 hours. So the warrior boldly commanded, “Sun, stand still over Gibeon; And Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon” (Josh. 10:12b), to conquer victory over those who breathed hatred against his people. Today, our war is spiritual!

God’s servants must evangelize the world. However, in many countries the workers withdrew, leaving the people helpless. Where is the Church that occupies its place in Christ to pray and change the hearts of the authorities contrary to the Gospel and to give freedom to those lands? Are we busy with trivialities, leaving heavenly business for others to do? Isn´t the harvest there white? (John 4.35) The prayer of faith solves!

We must fulfill Jesus’ command to God, fighting the demons that rule the nations, leading the captives to freedom, to the Word of God. While we are not awakened to it, the emissaries of evil go everywhere, influencing rulers to slow the advancement of the Lord’s work. What are we doing while they work? Our fight is not against flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12a)!

In nations where the Gospel was once a majority, absurd rights are being created today. Several countries considered to be Democrat preaches human rights, shutting themselves to the true right, by curtailing the churches and the preaching of the Gospel. Would the representatives of these places be afraid that their people would come to know the Truth? Yes, because it sets them free (John 8:32). They do not care if people have what to eat or where to live, because, after all, they totally manipulate the people!

More than two thousand years ago Jesus caused Satan to fall before His feet and led the captivity captive (Ephesians 4: 8), stripping the serpent of man’s stolen power. We can do the Father’s work, but the deceitfulness of riches, the cares of this world, and the desire for other things, have kept us from serving the living God by preaching the Good News throughout the world! Have mercy!
