There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man.       Mark 7.15

It is very evident in this verse that the Lord was not talking about the biological aspect, but the spiritual. It could be that the greatest sorcerer in the world is hired to do a witchcraft work, in order to destroy a Christian, even if this one is still a beginner in faith, and the devil is pleased with such “work”; however, as the days go by, it will simply have no effect at all. The Holy Scripture declares that against Jacob – the people of God – no sorcery works (Number 23:23); that is why, Balaam was not able to curse Israel. 

The works of sorcery only have dominion over those people that are not saved or those that are saved but don’t know the Scriptures nor the power of God. If a Christian becomes afraid because they found out some witchcraft work was done against them, then most certainly the evil one will enter their life to execute his works of destruction. Now, fear is a tall and wide door, which is open for the devil. 

Even is Satan and his demons attack any follower of Jesus, if this person knows there position in Christ, then, when they use the Name of the Lord, they will cause the forces of darkness to fall to the ground. God has already decided that no evil will happen to those that belong to His people, and no plague shall come near the dwelling of those who have Jesus as Savior of their life. Likewise, the negative words only overcome those that fear and accept them. Those who are faithful to the Most High are free indeed. 

After having received Jesus as Savior, you become a spiritual authority; thus, God gives the order to His angels to deliver you (Psalm 91:11). Therefore, live in a positive manner, and don’t fear any of the things that the ungodly people fear. The law of the spirit of life in Jesus has already delivered you from sin and death. Therefore, be an example to other people, living victoriously in the faith in Jesus, without fearing the evil one. 

Don’t live your life by what you feel, thinking that God talks to you all the time. Yes, He talks to His children all the time, but through His Word (Hebrews 1:1). That which you think and feel is God talking to you can be an evil attack or it can be something from your mind. The Lord speaks to your heart when you give ear to the preaching of the Word or when you read the Bible, so that He can guide your decisions. Don’t be mystical and don’t lie so that other people think you are spiritual. 

All those who were born again – repented of their sins and were baptized in waters and in the Holy Spirit – have the necessary power to be a witness of Christ, His representative in any situation. However, you must stay alert with your mouth, your heart, your eyes and your mind, because you are that which you think and talk. Therefore, for you to win, learn what God says about you, and then, just confess it. 

The believer is imprisoned by their own words when they have no biblical foundation. It doesn’t matter who said something; if that is not according to the only Foundation there is – the Scriptures -, than it is pure garbage, and it must be discarded. Talk only what justifies you and does not condemn you. Thus, you will become free and powerful to fulfill divine will.
