“For you yourselves know, brethren, that our coming to you was not in vain.” (I Thessalonians 2: 1)
God knows where He’s taking you. He’s planned good things for you, so keep on being in the divine presence at all times. Don’t be impressed by the works of our enemy and don’t waste any opportunity our Father has prepared for your life; your reward will be eternal.
The Lord sent Paul to the Thessalonians in order for His eternal purpose to be achieved. Likewise, He takes us where He wants His work to be done. Don’t waste opportunities! Get ready and accept any invitation for a wedding or for any other party because the guests might lack wine (John 2: 1 – 11), or they might lack something else, so make sure you’ll be there to be of any assistance. The invitation might be for a snack in a house where the host’s mother-in-law might get the fever (Mark 1: 29 – 31). Don’t forget that the mayor of that town might have a daughter who’s dying (Luke 8: 40 – 42, 49 – 56). So, accept all invitations.
Be prepared to enter into the presence of God so He’ll be able to send you wherever He needs you though the people there don’t even know you’re qualified to do something in their favour. My brother, we transform circumstances. There’ll always be a work to be done wherever you’re sent for by the Lord. So, be always in communion with Him and you’ll be successful to carry out the task He has already determined you’ll take care of.
There’s nothing better than staying in the divine presence. Were Philip not “breathing” the presence of the Lord, he’d never have heard the Most High saying that He wanted him to head for south of Gaza which was desert (Acts 8: 26 – 40). If Ananias, the disciple of Damascus, not praying to God he’d have missed the chance to be sent to the road called Right where Saul of Tarsus, who was going blind, was praying (Acts 9). So, the fact that it was he who’d lain his hands on the to be Apostle Paul wouldn’t have been mentioned in his curriculum.
Those who serve God can’t be shocked by the works of the enemy. The devil harms people’s health, morality, finance and families the worst way. When someone has been taken to you or if you’ve been called up to meet someone to assist them that means you’ve got the key, in the Name of the Lord Jesus, to sort out their problems.
Always be prepared not to waste any chance. Those who are faithful over a few things will be made ruler over many things one day (Matthew 25: 21, 23). When you give a testimony to a cab driver or when you say a word to the commuter sitting next to you either on the bus or on the train, and when you pray for someone as you’re queuing up at the butcher’s or at the bank, you’ll be greatly blessed in the end. Those who only daydream of doing something big for the Most High are losing a lot. Why not accept all the challenges our Heavenly Father presents you with? After all, He’s the One who chooses and trains and sends His servants.
Those who serve our Master faithfully will be rewarded for centuries. Though the name of the person who told about Jesus to the woman with a blood flow (Luke 8: 43 – 48) isn’t mentioned in the Scriptures, he or she will be rewarded by the Lord of the field. Don’t be deceived by the enemy; God knows why you’ve been commissioned by Him. So, do obey Him!
In Christ, with love,
R. R. Soares
