“It is not good to show partiality to the wicked, or to overthrow the righteous in judgment.” (Proverbs 18: 5)
Truth must lead all our decisions. It’s not right to be carried away by fearing someone, whoever they might be, to the point of not telling the truth. He who speaks truth declares righteousness (Proverbs 12:17). We mustn’t twist what’s right; the true sentence lifts up the righteous. But let your “Yes” be “Yes” and your “No,” “No,” to all things; it’s a command of the Lord (James 5:12).
We’ll be accounted even for the hidden intentions in our hearts. So, it’s not right to omit truth to help somebody out or not to get involved with other people’s business. We must say what we saw whenever we witness something or when we’re told something on some specific occurrence. When we know something has happened it’s as though our God has appointed us to work hand in hand with Him so the truth will be applied. Of course we must pray and wait in Him to know when and how to open our mouths; for all those who are hasty are making an error.
We mustn’t back down even if the transgressors are known for their braveness or for something bad they might do to us. The One who can do anything; The One who demands obedience to His Word won’t tolerate those who didn’t fulfil His determination. On the other hand, those who serve the Lord will have Him operating in their favour in all senses. How sad and painful it is when the witness of an occurrence we need denies help, don’t you agree? So, we shouldn’t allow something we don’t want for us to happen to our neighbour.
The Word of our God states that when we speak truth the house of the righteous will stand (Proverbs 12: 17). So, what’s the point of denying it? Well, if we don’t fulfil the commandments of our Heavenly Father we’ll be neglecting our duty. On top of that, those who tell lies are the children of a liar (John 8: 44) and so they’ll be disconnected from the Lord. Don’t let that happen to you!
When we omit truth we’re influencing the judgment of some transgression, be it ours or someone else’s. Those who are sensible, although they might be guilty, will not collaborate so that what’s right will be distorted; if they do that they’re piling up another mistake in their flaws list: the one for having assisted the enemy to twist what’s right. So, even though that will cost you something,
say the truth!
The righteous is lifted up whenever the sentence is done with righteousness. So, you’d better confess the truth now before the court of men rather than on the Great Judgment Day. Real Truth will be sovereign then and it’ll be impossible to influence the eternal decision with any transgression. The
transgressors will be present at the Great Judgment only to be convicted. They themselves will confess their deeds and how, where and why they did that in detail. Even their heart’s intentions will come to light live and in colours on that day.
After all, Jesus teaches us that only a “yes” or a “no” must come out of our mouths; anything different from that is certainly evil. Those who are sensible will only say words from the Lord. Remember: we’ll take responsibility of everything that comes either from God or our enemy.
In Christ, with love,
