“Yet He sent prophets to them, to bring them back to the LORD; and they testified against them, but they would not listen.” (II Chronicles 24. 19)

Joash’s last days were dreadful. He began reigning at the age of seven after the death of Jehoiada, the priest; yet, he took the evil way. God sent Prophets but nothing got him out of error. The princes of Judah’s house contaminated him with bad counselling so the king drifted apart from the Way of the Lord. That monarch ate of the divine special food while the old priest lived; yet, at the death of that man of God, Joash began listening to deceitful spirits who led him to fall. Watch out! History repeats itself…

Though still in iniquity, the love of our Creator insisted on showing the king that he should stop wandering on the path of hell; yet, his stupidity prevented him from obeying the Lord. There are many people today who’d rather listen to demons than standing firm in the holy way and now they’re doomed. A satanic pleasure, a treasure race, a political philosophy, among other not recommended things, have turned servants of God into slaves of sin.

Some of God’s chosen people keep transgressing by being foolishly stubborn and that mostly occurred out of an offense. Such an insignificant occurrence made some behave wrongly to the point of being carried away by the kingdom of death. Did this happen to you? Why did you give up seeking The One who’s Life Himself; the One who can satisfy you completely? Have you been doing the will of God or are you daily sinking in sin by telling yourself you’re a lost cause? Look! if you were a lost cause you wouldn’t be reading this message now!

I’m speaking with the authority of the Heavens as one of the many Prophets the Lord has sent to come up to you: Stop right now and be sensible again! My friend, it isn’t worth trading your eternal happiness for the lie the enemy uses to keep you hooked up in his webs. The hands of the Lord are stretched to hold you and to get you out of sin. The Holy Spirit has never forsaken you. On the contrary, He’s the One who’s making you feel how apart you’ve been from our Father. God wants to give you a hug; He wants to wipe out your tears and give you dignity. Enjoy this moment and tell Him you’re back!

Joash’s relatives, masters of deceitful idolatry and witchcraft , corrupted his heart. Who has led you out of the way of God? Is it someone from your job, your family, a secret desire you’ve been hiding for long? Will it be worth the eternal suffering you’ll go through if you don’t convert to Christ? Why trade what’s right and good – the eternal pleasure – for something insignificant? Jesus is offering you now the life of abundance (John 10: 10). Don’t let the enemy keep dwelling in your heart not even a minute longer! It’s your turn to get rid of evil once and for all and stick to goodness!
