“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3. 16)

Due to the fact that Adam was created to the image and likeness of God, he was a complete creation. His intellect was fully developed; he was able to give names to all creations. He heard from the Almighty what would happen to him in case he ate from the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and he got the picture (Genesis 2. 16, 17). Yet, he was carried away by the spirit of madness and he disobeyed our Lord. So, he was expelled from the presence of God and darkness came over him and his descendants: all of us. From that point we’d be always apart from Christ and susceptible to the enemy’s assaults.

Nevertheless, being Love Himself, our Lord worked out a plan which would cost Him a high price: the death of His only Son. He was merciful to us that way. The most stupid attitude someone might take today is to take for granted the work of our Creator to send His Son to this world and His subsequent death. When that happened a way for men to turn back to God and have communion with Him was worked out, and also to keep the divine power operating in their lives. Those who won’t listen to the message of the Good News – the Gospel – will never stop their suffering since the devil who’s now pulling their strings will also do that to them in hell where they’ll be tormented for eternity.

The issue of salvation must be taken seriously just for the high price Jesus had to pay. He wouldn’t have paid that much if that matter wasn’t utterly significant. Remember that God’s omniscient – He knows everything including how to work out the costs. He demonstrated how much our salvation is worth when He paid such a high price. So, do everything you can not to get lost and don’t go mad just like Adam did. It’s not worth to commit adultery not even with the most beautiful person; so don’t get lost. The same goes for any other kind of sinful deeds. Be holy because our Lord is holy and He can’t dwell in those who are in error (Isaiah 59. 2; I Johan 1. 5, 6).

If you don’t want to perish and you want to get out of all devilish influence, you’ve got to believe in the Gospel (Mark 16. 16; Romans 10. 9). The Good News brings in Itself the necessary power to deliver those who pay notice to It. The knowledge and the acceptance of TRUTH shall make you free (John 8. 31, 32).

As for the reward, it’s double. Those who accept Jesus as their Lord and Saviour won’t go into the lake which will burn with fire and sulphur for eternity, and they’ll enjoy endlessly the riches of the love of God (Revelation 2. 11; 20. 14; 21. 8). First, there will be no suffering and second you’ll get to know the capacity of our Father and you’ll enjoy from it.

The good things God created here can’t be compared to what He’s keeping for those who will live the eternal life. That will only depend on your decision for you to get it. So, what are you going to do?
