He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And set my feet upon a rock, And established my steps. Psalm 40:2

God worked effectively through David because he allowed himself to be used by the Almighty. This is the biblical pattern and because of this everyone that is an instrument in God’s hands will never have any regrets. It is impossible for the Lord to abandon anyone who has answered to His call, dedicated to doing good and shows immense love for His divine work. At any given moment should there be any evidence or practice of sin, he may taste how bad it is to deviate from the Path.

David was in a horrible pit. He mentioned being oppressed for a period of time by the forces of darkness. Nevertheless when he came to terms with the Omnipotent, he witnessed the divine hand moving in his favor. Likewise, all those who are influenced by some form of temptation, on coming to their senses that their decision was disastrous and cry out for God’s mercy, they will experience His great love again.

The fallen, by the way, do not find it to be easy nor simple to reach for a solution with little or no effort. When someone commits a mistake they find themselves steeped in a miry pit. Those who are led into temptation are in dire circumstances and each day getting worse. To get out of this they will have to plea for help and embrace His promises.

On delivering us, the Almighty places us exactly where we should have never left, frees us from oppressions and places our feet firm on the Rock. Those that resist the convictions of the Spirit are not happy; but those who confess their sins and return to the Lord find mercy in the Father who truly loves His sons. If you are far from God’s love, go back and surrender to Him now, before it is too late.

Besides establishing you on the Rock, the Lord corrects your steps, your goings and doings – your decisions and choices. This of course happens by faith or it would not be biblical in manner, a way in which He will not move. Therefore look to find your place in the Scriptures’ promises. And place your faith in what you believe to be God’s will for you. The Lord’s testimony concerning those that believe in Him, is always fulfilled.

What happened to David will happen to any other believer as long as they hear and heed God’s Word which is infallible. Believe in what the Almighty desires for you and this will be completely confirmed. God cannot fail in His promises. What he deems will be so and all that you ask in prayer, based on what you learned to be yours, will come to be.

Like David, be an example of one who needed divine intervention, cried out in plea for it and was answered and granted. This way, as many as hear your testimony will also come to God and receive His help. The Almighty’s determinations will come true because they have an address in You. Wake up!
