When the whirlwind passes by, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation.  Proverbs 10.25

The person that surrenders to wickedness harms himself, for he becomes separated from the source of Love and gives himself to a completely evil and perverse creature (Jo 10.10). There is no comparison between the Lord and the enemy, for God is completely good (Ps 145.9). Those who have served the Most High were never abandoned in their struggles, and never ceased to have the divine help (Ps 46.1). Even if we had to work for all our lives to pay for salvation, it would be worth it.

The wicked is compared to a whirlwind, a phenomenon that is never beneficial. The spirit that inhabits in his heart is evil, and therefore, everything that he is able to do is only prejudicial. The evil one is who controls his heart, and for this reason, his works will always cause other people harm. The more a person remains under the oppression of sin, the more his nature becomes evil, for he feeds from the wrong source.

The Lord compares he who lives wickedly as a whirlwind that brings all kinds of damage and threat. It does not endure for long, but always leaves a trail of destruction. Even if you strive to be friends with a wicked person, you will see that his wrath will not spare him. It is necessary to be watchful with these people, for when the opportunity comes, he will show what is truly inside his heart (Ps 37.12).

The wicked person is frustrated in all senses, for he does not have the divine help that could lead him to success. Now, how can someone do what is good if he despises He who is the Author of goodness? This person goes from bad to worse, and in order to justify himself, he always has arguments that are responsible for his own conduct. Who will justify him if he chose the way that is opposite to God’s way?

Now the righteous, during all his life, will have the Lord as his foundation, and for this reason, even if Hell throws itself against him with all of its strength, it will not be successful. In his struggles, he will have the Most High as his Provider and he will not be shaken or struck, for he is firmed on the Truth (Ps 125.1). The reward of the righteous is the divine mercy that always surrounds him and protects him from the arrows that come from the enemy (Ps. 23.6).

The righteous does not lack inspiration or power to accomplish his dreams, for he is continuously involved by He who is good and complete. Therefore, he sees a solution for all his problems. The evil one roams around us, seeking for a breach in order to strike, but he is not able to do so. However, if we are disconnected from the Lord, the enemy will have the conditions to strike us (1 Pe 5.8). If we are in Him, we will follow our lives without being harmed by evil (1 Jo 5.18).

The question that has no explanation is: why should someone let himself be deceived by the enemy and become wicked? Now, being righteous, he has a perpetual foundation, and is not deceived by the devil or struck by his evil; the righteous is always victorious. Make a decision to be a practitioner of the divine justice, and therefore, you will never prove any of the works of the evil one.
