The prophet Zephaniah lived in the days of Josiah, king of Judah, who was responsible for a revival in the entire nation, after they found the Book of the Law in the house of the Lord. Shaphan, the scribe, brought it to Josiah and read it to him. It was a time of joy for God’s people, and those words influenced the king (2 Kings 22.3-10). When we find a promise in the Holy Book, we should take it to the people. Surely, there is a divine purpose in it.
Immediately, Josiah tore his clothes and sent for the prophetess Huldah, who warned him that God would bring judgment on the nation. However, she also sent word to the king that, because he had humbled himself and torn his clothes, this evil would not come in his days (2 Kings 22.14-20). Our attitude towards the words of the Most High can postpone something that would occur at this time. Whoever loves the Lord will also be loved by Him (John 14.21).
Actually, evil occurred a few years later, when Nebuchadnezzar invaded Judah and demanded Jerusalem to surrender. However, since the king and the authorities of those days did not seek repentance or believe Jeremiah, who warned them day and night, the foretold evil happened, and Judah was taken captive to Babylon. All this because of the sins of the king and his people in the land flowing with milk and honey. Be alert!
Zephaniah’s prophecy also warns about the end of the world, with the return of Christ to earth and the sending of the impenitent to the eternal lake of fire and brimstone (Revelation 20.10-15). No one should disregard the divine warnings, because the rigor with which those who do not repent will be treated will be complete. In every generation, many are led astray by the demon of rebellion, hindering God’s plan, but they will pay a high price.
According to the Word, the world and everything in it will be burned up; nothing will remain standing. Thus spoke Peter: But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. (2 Peter 3.10). It will be a day of torment, despair and pain for those who do not want to be part of salvation (John 3.16). Seek the Lord!
Today is the acceptable day for the lost to convert. There will be no more salvation after Jesus’ return and the full judgment of those who have rejected the invitation of the Most High and set themselves on the road to the eternal precipice. It will be too late to take advantage of the work Jesus did on the cross. Now, everything has already been done, and it only depends on each one of us to want to have our sins forgiven (Acts 3.19). God wants your welfare now and in eternity! What do you say?
The most beautiful parks, the most pleasant places on Earth, buildings, houses, and all the constructions of the world will be destroyed by the Lord’s fire. Even the nuclear weapons not yet revealed, as well as the accumulation of gold and other wealth, will be set on fire and consumed. There will be no time to repent on the Day of Christ’s return!
In Christ, with love,

God, our Refuge, our Fortress and very present Help! By not wanting to postpone our entrance into Your Kingdom, we will convert to Jesus. We cannot hesitate, we must accept the Savior!
The second coming of Christ will be of great joy for us, the saved, for we will ascend to the heavenly Home. Now, for those who are lost it will be a time of despair. We beg for mercy. We don't want to go to hell. Help us, Father!
Thank You for the majestic work of Your Son on Calvary. He went alone to deliver us and stripped the devil and his demons of the power they had taken from man to hurt every living being. Now, once we are redeemed, we shall never perish!
