If people understood how good it is to listen to God’s Word, their life would be one of peace and prosperity, both material and spiritual (read Deuteronomy, chapters 28 and 29). However, many are very stubborn, unwilling to acknowledge the Creator´s existence, who left His Instruction Manual, the Bible, so that no one will stray from the path or lose eternal life. Whoever does not believe in the Lord makes Him a liar (1 John 5:10), and this transgression has serious consequences.
Letting sin enter through the eyes and lodge in the heart is like eating something poisonous, which will afflict you with an incurable disease or kill you (Matthew 15:18,19; Luke 11:34). Jesus said: Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26:41). The devil hates us, and so he will always tempt us. Unfortunately, as the days go by, some become weary in their vigilance.
Sin will lead the one who harbors it to the filthy, tormenting cellars of Hell, from which there is no way out. So be alert and pray that you will not enter into temptation. When giving this warning, Jesus had a purpose; after all, He knows all things, He loves us, and He wants to give us the escape. This way, we will never get involved with the evil kingdom. Walk and live in God’s presence, otherwise you will fall into the clutches of the being who has come to destroy you (John 10:10).
Because they didn’t really believe nor trust the Most High, the children of Israel wandered for 40 years in the wilderness, until the seed of evil planted in their hearts was rooted out. This is often the case with us too; otherwise, we would die in our sins and spend eternity in torment. The Savior has promised that He will return to take us out of this dying world. So let us watch and pray that we don´t give in to temptations (Luke 12:40).
After Joshua, God began to use men as judges, but when Ehud died, who had delivered the Israelites from the hands of Eglon, the Moabite king, who oppressed them for 18 years, they sinned again. So much wickedness! They experienced 80 years of freedom under the hands of this valiant judge, but as soon as he left, they transgressed again before God’s eyes and were oppressed again. Those who do not believe live in regression!
Now, this happens to many people when the pastor of the church changes, when they prosper or suffer a family loss. Instead of uniting themselves to God, day by day, so that evil doesn’t bother them anymore, they yield to error. Then, when they open their eyes, they realize that they are commanded by Satan. We must persevere to the end (Mark 13:13). Only this way, will we rest firm in our faith in the Lord. God keeps His promises in the lives of those who put their trust in Him! What do you say to Him now?
Be wise and seek the face of the Lord, as David did: When You said, “Seek My face,” my heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek” (Psalm 27:8). The little you learn from the Word is already a part of the face of Christ that you see and will make you an overcomer over the works of the evil one. Believe and live the freedom in Christ!

Father of holiness and love! Enough of so much suffering, pain and anguish. We want to obtain all the things You have distributed to Your children. With them, we will live free from Satan's wickedness. You are everything we need!
We long to see Your face, and this happens every time You reveal Your Word to us and speak to our hearts, strengthening our spirits to be in accordance with Your guidance. Show us Your face, and then we will serve You better. We love You!
Why should we do wrong in Your sight, if we will be enslaved by the devil? This being never has mercy on anyone. Father, living under his whip, nothing can set us free, but knowing Your face, Your joy will be our strength. Amen!
