While their children remember Their altars and their wooden images. By the green trees on the high hills. Jeremiah 17:2

The people of Judah, following in the steps of the Northern kingdom, sinned so much that their sins were engraved with a chisel, with a diamond head on the tables of their heart and the corners of their altars.  It was almost impossible to eradicate this or to spare them from total destruction which would certainly happen upon them and their children. The error is much greater than can be imagined and when they are persistent, their authors will experience eternal perdition and punishment.

Those who sin do not realize that the rewards or consequences of their transgression will befall their descendants.  It is as if the constant recurrence of the sin would engrave that sin on the DNA of the sinner and the stain of such madness would be held by their children. It is grave not love the Lord but it is far more serious to give one self in to iniquity.  For example, one can’t cross a desert without being bitten by snake.  The one who errs must seek divine mercy!

The memory of the descendants of the generation that would have been consecrated was not a good memory. Because they had chosen to ignore the Almighty they would greatly suffer.  The sons of Judah would remember the disastrous acts of their fathers and would desire them.  By doing Satan’s wishes they would experience the lowest and filthiest desires of immorality. May this serve as a warning to those who have been led astray by the lies of the enemy.

The sons of Judah always remembered the altars that were pagan and not the altar of the Lord; for this reason they didn’t think it was necessary to change their behavior. Those who become used to a life of sin and pleasures, surrounded by the beguilements of the devil do not perceive that they proceed to destruction and perdition.  Immediately, when least expected, he is trapped or ensnared by the deceptions of the enemy.  Only a tremendous fete or act of the Holy Spirit can take the sinner to his senses to be delivered.  So be it!

Although they were mere steps away from being taken to Babylon to be enslaved for seventy years, the inhabitants of Judah never saw the Truth, in order to repent. Likewise, there are sinners who know their destiny when and where they will be tormented for all eternity, night and day.  They will suffer with no chance of escape, for centuries of centuries. Even being conscious of this they don’t repent and return to God!

The forests where they dedicated to their idols ruled and drove the hearts of the sons of Judah. Even though they knew that they had this humiliating and repugnant feeling, they drew their pleasure from it. The memories of demons cursing and dirty language destroying families and homes afforded them pleasure albeit malignant.  Why didn’t they come back to the Lord and confess and repent in order to be free of the terrible bondage? They could have opened their eyes and not been dragged to Babylon!

Everything that man sows and reaps is inherited by his children.  So see and make sure you have not planted the seed of a bad example, of irresponsibility or enticing the power of darkness to overtake you and run back to the Good Shepherd who invites you to have life abundantly (John 10:10b). Amen?  Do it!

In Christ, with Love,

God of Holiness and Truth! How foolish can Your servant be?  How foolish can Your servant be?  In the case of Judah we see that if any of Yours lose their love for You they will be enslaved by the enemy in a vile and dirty way. Therefore, we seek mercy and love for all the saved.

Their error was so big and disastrous that they burned their altars on all corners, where they once participated in Your glory.  Consequently now, their sons sought the altars of sin where they turned themselves over to the devil.

Deliver the enlightened and those who are not yet lost from bondage to the enemy.  Certainly destruction will overtake them and their descendants.  We cry out for Your love and favor. We do not wish to see anyone separated from You and in bondage to the enemy.
