16/10/2016 - EXCEPT BY BEELZEBUB?

Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” Matthew 12:24

In many places, envy has driven many people. What Jesus did in favor of those who suffered was so strong and real that nobody could deny the power of God operated through Him. One day, they took to the Master a demon possessed man who was blind and dumb, and He healed the man in such a way that he began to see perfectly. The crowd that witnessed this miracle asked if He was the Son of David; however, the Pharisees thought differently.

Driven by envy, this group of Israelites – who strived to walked correctly, but did many wrong things because they were not yet regenerated – said that Jesus cast out the demon by the ruler of the demons, whom they called Beelzebub, although the miracle could not be denied. If they had surrendered before the Truth, they could have been saved and would also have the condition to carry out the same works done by Christ. This takes place with many people today.

They were close to committing the unforgivable sin: blasphemy against the Holy Spirit. Today, those who criticize the work of the Lord need to be alert regarding what they speak, for, if they are not certain about what is taking place, then it is wise not to get tangled with something they don’t know. Everything must be deeply examined. If something does not come from the Lord, discard it. However, to say that deliverance is a result of a demonic action is not a good attitude, especially if you don’t have any knowledge of the facts.

The Pharisees were wrong, because once they were in the presence of Jesus they knew that that was done by God. Now, the Holy Spirit always testifies those who are honest when judging if something is from the Lord, flesh or the devil. In this case, they missed the opportunity to believe and have their act transformed into righteousness. Abraham believed before God, and this was accounted to him for righteousness (Galatians 3:6).

When you witness a person being delivered from demons, you will notice that there are two forces fighting for that life. One wants to kill (the kingdom of darkness), who resists until they cannot take it anymore, and the other (the power of God), which struggles to deliver those oppressed by Satan. The wickedness in the purposes of many people causes them not to follow the Light, because inside of them, they have already decided to live just like it pleases the devil.

God is just and weighs in what happens in the heart of man when this person comes before Him. Some people don’t surrender to the Lord at first, but, later, they come to the conclusion that they should do this to get rid of a series of troubles set up by the devil. Now, the evil is so wicked, harmful and perverse that he doesn’t like even those that do what he wants.

Examine your attitudes! If you have also done something wrong, repent, because when God´s patience comes to an end in your favor, the enemy will complete his destruction. Don’t give any room to the one who just wants to kill, steal and destroy. On the other hand, Jesus is gentle and lowly in heart and because of this, He waits patiently and anxiously for your decision.

In Christ, with love,

Lord! On that day, You could have fulminated the Pharisees who accused Your Son of being possessed by Beelzebub, the prince of demons. But Your patience and Your love proved to be much greater than their lie.

Now, the work was Yours; a perfect and complete work in the life of that man, who was blind, dumb and possessed by wicked spirits. However, by using the authority He was given, Jesus healed the man.

How great are Your deeds! But why don’t many people use Your power to deliver the oppressed? Why don’t we consecrate ourselves more for Your power to manifest itself through us?
