03/03/2020 - FINDING FAVOR IN HIS SIGHT

So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority. Genesis 39.4

No matter where the Lord takes you. As long as He is in charge of your life, good things will happen. So be patient and reject the anguish brought on by the unknown. In any situation, good or bad, rest in Heavenly Father’s arms. The Lord is our strength and help. He is faithful and loves us, so He will never abandon us.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego found favor in the eyes of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. But these servants of God did not kneel before his image nor declare his greatness. Although warned that they would be thrown into the furnace if they remained standing while the song was being performed, they told the Mesopotamian leader that they did not care about the consequences.

It was the same with Jesus. The Master answered Pilate, You would have no power against me if it were not given you from above (John 19:11). Christ knew He would have to die to save us and He was not intimidated. So should we do when we suffer any threat. If we serve God, why would we prevent His glorification? Is the Lord the strength of our lives, whom shall we fear?

David was the eighth son of Jesse. Despite being the youngest, he was chosen by his father to take care of the family’s flock of sheep. If I had not had a heart in the Lord’s hands, I might have murmured that I was away from home in a hostile and dangerous environment. However, this fearless young man pleased God, taking advantage of moments of solitude to meditate on the Scriptures.

One day the prophet Samuel was sent to anoint one of the sons of Jesse as king of Israel. Now Saul had been called by the Most High to be the first king of God’s people. However, as he prevaricated in the case of Amalek, whom God had sworn to destroy, Samuel was commissioned to anoint another king. The prophet was enchanted with the firstborn Eliab, strong and handsome young man, but God had chosen David, who loved Him.

Eliab found favor with man Samuel, but David with the Most High. God searches the heart and repays each according to the purity of his hands and the righteousness practiced (Ps. 18:20). Esther was Jewish and would have to marry; Then the Lord brought her favor in the eyes of King Xerxes, becoming queen of the Persian Empire. Shortly thereafter, it was used to change a royal decree and thus save the lives of the Jews.

How many accepted the divine mission and became important to men and God! The list of those benefited or protected by the Father in calamities is long. Jabez, whose name means “born with pain,” was wiser than his brothers, for he believed correctly and prayed with faith.

In Christ, with love,

O God! In the face of the persecution and suffering suffered by Paul, You answered his prayer, saying that Your grace was sufficient for that man. Equally, we can believe: the most important thing in this life is to know and love you.

Jonah found it thanks to Your eyes, but fled for fear of going among the Assyrians. He did not go very far, because a very violent storm denounced him. So Jonah asked to be thrown into the sea to stop the storm. Your grace made him go to Nineveh!

There is no escape from Thy presence if we have found grace to occupy a ministry in Thy work. Nothing will work for us until we come before You. Father, our prayer is this: make Thy will always!
