They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing,  Psalm 92.14

 

It is essential to be planted in the House of the Lord in order to flourish in His courts. Those who go to church eventually make their prayers and receive their blessings. Besides, whenever they need the love of God and ask for help, they may even receive it, but in the end of their lives, they will notice how much they lost. Now those who are planted in the Word – the true House of God – will be successful.

As you assume your place in Christ, seek to establish your roots in Him, so that when the time of the true Vine comes to produce fruits through you, everyone may see that you made the right decision. This will make people also desire to assume their place in the Son of God. Now, Jesus’ promise is to grant people everything that they may ask if they are in Him and His words are in them.

It is very sad to see the children of God being unproductive, spending their lives with little or no accomplishment by faith. They are like old and dry branches, which need to remain connected to the Vine, but do not receive any sap. Every Christian must understand that since they are in Christ, being part of His Body, they must flourish in the Lord’s courts. Whoever thinks they are in Jesus and produces nothing will undoubtedly be plucked and thrown away.

The palm tree does not worry with adverse climate conditions, for its nature allows it to grow and always exist. Even in extremely difficult situations, it fulfills its mission. See what happens with the cedar of Lebanon: after living three years without growth, its roots develop deep into the earth, embracing the rock underneath it. Then, it reaches 40 to 60 meters of height.

The Lord has several places in Him to receive you. Thus, you will be able to flourish wherever He places you, and undoubtedly, you will attain what has been planned for you. No palm tree – or cedar – has the right to choose where it will be planted. They need to follow its nature and grow wherever the farmer has planted it. Similarly, be ready to fulfill the divine plan in your life.

Even in an old age – in a time when the body does not respond like before, because it starts to get tired and weary as its final day approaches –, if you are a member of the Body of Christ, your youth can be renewed, and you can produce beautiful, robust, and flourishing fruits. You can be a true blessing, since this is God’s promise.

In this way, you will gain your relatives for Jesus, even if you do not use any words, for they will see that the Lord is righteous. He is not impartial in his blessings, but concedes grace to all who seek for Him. He is our Rock and in Him there is no injustice. Therefore, prepare yourself to enjoy of what God has told you.
