Psalm 31:3

Have you ever confessed to the Lord? Have you already said to Him how much you love Him and how much you need His protection? God is everything to us as long as we believe in Him and as long as we ask Him to help us. Those who keep their mouths shut show that they do not fully trust in Him and that they do not give Him the due place in their lives.
The Lord rejoices when His children obey His Word and when they seek Him with all their heart. Our Father assures us that He can be found by all those who decide to get in touch with Him. Try to open up to the Lord in prayer by telling Him about your feelings and your needs and you will be surprised at what will happen next. I can assure you that your life will not be the same any more.
David said to the Lord that He was his Rock. You believe in what you put your faith. Now, it is not enough to say that you believe in God because even demons believe in Him and tremble (James 2:19)! The important thing is to believe in what you understand when you read or hear a message of the Word of God. Bear in mind that the Most High is the only Foundation upon which you can edify your life. Make this declaration whenever you are going through trials, both before man and God in prayer. In so doing you will grow in faithfulness and strength to face the forces of darkness.
Besides being his Foundation, the Lord was also David’s Fortress. Undoubtedly, when he understood that God could be his Stronghold that king made a wise decision and he was no longer unprotected and disarmed. Of all the battles that he had to face, the shepherd of Israel did not lose any because he always had the divine hand upon him; therefore he always won all combats. Though, in his days, wars were fought like a wrestling match with swords, knives and spears – which almost always caused people to end up being hurt -, David was never maimed or
seriously wounded. That was possible because he turned the Lord into His Protection and Strength.
The psalmist reveals the secret of his great success: he had a clear understanding of the power that dwelt in the Name of the Lord and he used it. In the verse that opens this message David speaks about what God meant to him because of His Holy Name, which he loved with all his heart. It was with that Name that he faced the giant Goliath and ended up victorious (I Samuel 17:45). With the Name of Jesus you will win all your battles as well.
Because of David’s love towards the Lord’s name, God will guide you through all difficult times. Do not be afraid to confess your needs before the one and only True God, but believe that He will lead you to complete success. Undoubtedly, the Lord will be your Shield, your Protection, your Help and everything else that He assures you in His Word.
I pray that you may not be shy to take possession of everything that God is willing to be in your life.
