And Laban said to him, “Please stay, if I have found favor in your eyes, for I have learned by experience that the Lord has blessed me for your sake.   Genesis 30:27

The promise that came out of the lips of God, which cannot be canceled or changed, but fulfilled in its entirety, will make us into the people who bless everyone wherever God sends us, for the fire of the law of liberty will always be our side (Dt 33.2; Jm 1.25). We are divine instruments to save those who are lost, to restore marriages and bring joy into many homes. We can never be the cause of failure of any person.

Jacob’s trajectory resembles ours, because he was not yet born and had already been deceived by his twin brother Esau. Likewise, before we were born, our loss was a reality, because, since Adam and Eve had sinned, it made us turn away from God and eternal happiness. But the Father loved us!

After recovering from his losses, Esau swore to Jacob that he would kill him. But why did he take such an oath if he had sold his birthright for a plate of stew? (Gen 25: 29-34). The devil is never pleased when one accepts Jesus as Lord and Savior of their life. After all, this person, after receiving Christ, receives also the power to become a child of God.

Now, having been transported from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of the Father, we are blessed in our actions. Everything we touch will prosper. That’s what happened to Jacob when he was with his uncle for a few days. He not only found his chosen one, but was also used by the Most High to make his father-in-law Laban’s little flock greatly enlarged. Hallelujah!

Laban appealed to Isaac’s son, heir to the promise, to stay with him, because he saw in his son-in-law the possibility of growing up. Likewise, those who do not know Christ recognize that we are possessed of an authority capable of giving them fame and financial success. Contradictorily, they also find us careless. So they come to us with absurd proposals. We have to do only the will of the Father!

It is a fact that where the Gospel goes to, people’s lives are changed. Sin soon diminishes, violence almost disappears, and people begin to enjoy health and other blessings due to the authority of the Name of Jesus. We are to give glory to God, so that the unbelievers will desire salvation. Many only think of the success that can be achieved here, but for us, what counts is the eternal. Glory to God!

Never take the glory for yourself! God is endless in power and always works. If we give the Most High praise for what we have achieved, He will give us more and more. Don’t let the devil convince you that you are the one.
