When you think of the Lord and His promises, imagine something gigantic. After all, God is Omnipotent. His gifts are the best for our lives, and the possibility of their coming true is 100%. The Most High made a covenant with Abraham, because he had listened to Him in Ur of the Chaldeans, leaving his land and going to a land that would be shown to him. Trusting in the Lord is the way out of your problems. He who believes in Him lives!
The covenant with Abram included us to enjoy the blessings intended for the patriarch. We don’t have to observe the precepts of the Old Testament, because Christ has already performed them – no rules are left for the Christian to account for. The commandments are summed up in these: love God above all things and love your neighbor as yourself (Mark 12.30,31). Jesus fulfilled all the commands to save us!
The Lord gave the patriarch the answer he needed. Abraham had said that he had prayed for a long time without seeing the word fulfilled that he would be the father of many people. He was confused and told God that his steward would be his heir. The Most High said that he lacked two things to operate in his favor: to walk in His presence and to be perfect (Genesis 17.1). When the answer doesn’t come, we are missing something!
To walk in the presence of the heavenly Father is to live according to biblical guidelines. This opens a man’s path before Him (Psalm 119:105). This is not difficult, but the enemy will cause a person to become discouraged and give up. Because we have never been taught to walk before the Lord, obeying His will, we get tired of trying. God did not say that we had to try, but that we had to give His Word dominion over our will (Luke 9.23). Only then we will be His disciples.
Every time we repent of the wrong things in our lives, we proceed to be perfect. Using the authority of the Name of Jesus, we rebuke the evil force, which retreats. As time goes by, we learn to believe rightly, and we see that fighting the enemy becomes easier. The closer we get to perfection, the more we will have divine love and power working within us. The goal is to do the same works that Jesus did (John 14.12).
When the Lord’s covenant is between us and Him, we act in a way that pleases God. Then we respect our neighbor, the “haughty” stops dwelling in us, and we become true operators of divine justice – as Jesus was. Nothing will stop us, because at every moment, the Most High will lead us to help more people, freeing them from the hands of the enemy.
As Abraham’s descendants by faith, we are heirs of God’s promises to him and his seed (Galatians 3.29). Thus, we begin to enjoy the abundant life brought by Christ and His love surrounds us – and everyone concludes that God lives in us (Galatians 2.20). This is what the Word of God declares to those who are converted to Jesus: to them is granted the power to become children of God (John 1.12). Now, is there anything impossible for the Lord to do?
In Christ, with love,

God of the eternal covenant! We thank You because You said that Abraham's descendants would inherit the Land promised to our patriarch in faith. Your Word guarantees that this blessing has reached even the Gentiles.
We cannot live without the enhancement of this revelation, which was fulfilled in the coming of Jesus into the world. This is our certainty: we will never be abandoned by You. The New Covenant confirms that everything has been fulfilled. Now, let us take our place in Christ.
Let the promised multiplication come! Your Kingdom will be filled with people from different peoples, nations and languages, who will receive Jesus as their Savior. In eternity, we will give You praise with joy. Your care for us is according to Your love.
