Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.
Hebrews 2:1
Throughout the Word of God there are secrets that must be known by us. Every time we hear the preaching of the Gospel or read the Bible we must pay heed to what the Lord wants to tell us. The understanding that was given to us by the Holy Spirit must never be wasted because there is enough power in it to accomplish what is being announced. In this message the Most High will reveal some of His secrets to you and they will be very useful for your life.
The forces of darkness are constantly trying to rob you of your faith or to drift you from the Way because they know that if you walk according to the instructions of the Lord, you will become a destroyer of fortresses, a danger to evil.
Pay heed to this: we should heed the Scriptures more diligently, with more interest and attention. God does not speak through randomness and neither does He teach us anything that is not necessary for our growth and our protection. The Almighty One keeps us and blesses us by faith, through our actions, prayers and according to what His Word teaches us.
Everything that you have heard from God has the necessary power to fulfil what has been announced. So, in times of crisis you should not get desperate to hear the guidance of the Lord because He works ahead of time. As you recall what you have learned in the services you attend or by reading the Bible, the Spirit of the Lord will come upon your life; He will vivify your faith, which will become like burning coal. This way you will be able to ordain the accomplishment of what was revealed to you.
When the Bible declares that it is our duty to give the more earnest heed to the things we have already heard, the Lord is showing, in other words, that the enemy will try to lead us into disregarding that revelation.
Well, the divine gifts are irrevocable; therefore, we just have to believe that what the Almighty told us is true and then His Word is put into action.
A mistake many people make is to depart from the Way of the Lord. Those who behave that way but later cry out to God for Him to speak again have not learned yet that He does not take away the gift He granted to us. We only have to repent of the wrong we have done to our lives and to the divine plan, recall what was revealed to us and take possession of our blessing.
Stay alert because one day we shall give account for everything that was given to us. As a matter of fact, we will have to give him, with profit, the talents that were entrusted to us and those who are not capable of doing this will have a sad end (Luke 19:11-27). Therefore, be the kind of person that the Lord has called you to be!
