In the day of my trouble I will call upon You, for You will answer me.

Psalm 86:7

Material life is like a mirror of the spiritual life. If our immune system is good, we will not get even a simple cold. In fact, even if bacteria or viruses try to invade our body, every attempt will be like hitting a thick and firm wall.

The problems that befall us now serve as a warning of future ordeals if we do not mend our ways in the presence of the Lord. In a way, problems can be considered blessings in the sense that they show people when they are not spiritually well, which is when the devil finds a foothold in their life, in their family etc. Make a firm decision to seek the Most High, because undoubtedly, something worse is on its way. Life with God should be enjoyable, free from temptations and satisfactory in every way. Where there is light, there is no darkness (II Corinthians 6:14b).

In the day of trouble, when you have to confront your problem, cry out to God! When you open your mouth in prayer, you will feel what is bothering you and then you will have a chance to break free from the evil onslaught. It is with the Lord you have to make amends. So, do not miss the opportunity to examine what door you left open for the enemy to come in and reach you.

To claim is to ordain, which means to enter into God’s presence until you get an answer; on the other hand, he who stops ordaining is actually accepting the devil’s temptation. The servant of God must always be ready and determined, and must never accept anything that contradicts what the Lord said to him. The Word does not lie and has the power to do what God says.

We should do like Bartimaeus, the blind: he cried out to the Master until He heard his petition (Mark 10:46-52). If he had not done that, he would have continued in that situation. If you do not make a decision now, you will have to go through the painful solutions offered by man, which are not always effective. However, if you make the right choice, your problem will be solved by God. Choosing the Lord is the right thing to do!

The example of the widow as told in Luke 18 fits us all. In that account, Jesus teaches us to pray until we get an answer. So do not be discouraged! Cry out all the more, stay in the presence of the Most High for hours on end, fast, seek in Him the answer to your questions. The Almighty will never dishonor His Word. He wants to answer you. So do not miss the opportunity to put the enemy to shame and glorify the Lord.

He who believes in Christ, though he seems to be hopeless in the eyes of man, even if he is dead he shall live (John 11:25). Believe that Jesus’ words will never pass away, even if all else disappears because with the faith that God has already given you, you will never be defeated!
