“Better is a dry morsel with quietness, than a house full of feasting with strife.” (Proverbs 17:1)

There are many weak people in the world who are only interested in gathering plenty of material goods. They make their living through bribery, lies and deceit and therefore they have no friends or peace. When they get together with what they call “friends”, they do not trust each other. They feast at banquets and make agreements, but in fact, it is all out of self-serving interest. The worst thing is that, by doing so, they bring a curse to their beloved ones which will accompany them for the rest of their lives. By all means, living in error is not good. Not only does the Word of God state that, but life itself has been testifying to that truth.

Everything that the enemy offers us – those things forbidden by the Word of God – must be rejected. The Lord is not an eccentric Being who creates absurd laws to keep us away from pleasant things and happiness. On the contrary, if He establishes such prohibitions He knows that the devil will use them to steal, kill and destroy us (John 10:10 a).  Those who accept the offerings of the devil will pay a high price. Satan does his tricks in order to have us in his filthy hands, either to lead us into illegally acquiring material assets or to obtaining a position of authority or committing adultery or any other immoral acts of the same sort. My brethren, run away from everything condemned by the Word of the Lord.

Gathering riches with a deceitful hand or having in your arms someone that is not your spouse is giving the devil a place in your life. The caress given to someone else, either physically or verbally, with an impure intention is enough to connect that person to the devil. “What now?” – You might be thinking – “I’m lost!” That’s right, but for you to be delivered from condemnation you must confess your mistake to God and ask Him for forgiveness. Get rid of your enemy while you’re on your way because when your journey is over what will remain is accountability for your actions.  And, then…

Food shortage is better than a table of plenty obtained through dishonest means; it is better to have a cold spouse than a hot affair; it is better to hold a humble position which draws the attention of a few people than to raise to a high rank of authority and have the devil by your side with whom you will only have tribulations.

Unfortunately, some people prefer the wrong things – rotten riches, sinful pleasures, perishable assets – instead of a life full of accomplishments. Many have committed errors and as a result their dearest ones became drug addicts, got divorced, got into prostitution, committed suicide or were stricken by a variety of diseases. Definitely, it is not worth being in the hands of the enemy. With no shadow of a doubt, assets illegally acquired are rotten riches.

The strongest proof that the Lord is behind our progress is when our heart acts according to the Word of God, we feel there is no condemnation for us and we keep on having communion with God by receiving new revelations.

In Christ, with love,
