On that day they read from the Book of Moses in the hearing of the people, and in it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever come into the assembly of God, because they had not met the children of Israel with bread and water, but hired Balaam against them to curse them. However, our God turned the curse into a blessing.

Nehemiah 13: 1, 2

The children of Ammon and Moab were relatives of the Israelites; yet, on account of their wickedness they were prohibited of entering the assembly of the Lord. This is the worst part of that story: a whole people banned to go inside The House of God.

That ban didn’t take place due to their being conceived by incest considering that they were the offspring of the children of Lot, Abraham’s nephew, to his two daughters. Their error was on account of their not meeting the children of Jacob with bread and water; instead, they hired Balaam against the people of God to curse them (Nehemiah 22: 4 to 6). You must always let The Spirit of God lead you, and you mustn’t use fear to make decisions otherwise that will ultimately become a snare for your life!

The Ammonites and the Moabites knew that God was with the children of Israel and, instead of praising The Lord with a positive attitude – they picked the evil way rather. Yet, they had no idea that their evil plan would never prevail against the destiny of the holy people considering that Balaam would never be able to answer their request. With the divine operation that prophet revealed a decree of God which states: “For there is no sorcery against Jacob, nor any divination against Israel (Numbers 23: 23).

What seemed to be a curse turned out a blessing, and so since then all attempts from the enemy to curse those who belong to our Father haven’t succeeded at all. You can see how friendly The Most High is to those who belong to His people because He does turn a curse into a blessing. This is a message to all those who take part in the people of The Lord: any curse cast against those who fear The Most High will become absolutely ineffective; on top of that, it will turn into a blessing which will make the servants of God feel even more thrilled.

Now, you have to understand the message of our Father: He transforms wickedness, evil desires and those curses cast upon your life into blessings. The Lord’s intervention is so massive and operative that the members of the divine family who had been cursed will ultimately come out of such trial even more blessed than before.

Nobody should fool with The Lord. He undoubtedly spoke into the heart of those people for them to meet Israel with bread and water but sadly they paid heed to the devil instead. Those who know the will of The Most High but won’t listen are, by all means, missing a lot. The Ammonites’ and The Moabites’ story is reported in The Bible to set an example to us.

See what The Lord has been telling you and get hands-on! Failing to listen to The Most High might turn one’s privilege into a chastisement. He wants to use your life for your eternal benefit. God thinks dearly about your future and also about your post-mortem life.
