We are used to hearing that The Lord is a blessing God and that He honours His children and that He makes them prosperous, but regarding Israel, on account of king Jehu’s sins, He did quite the opposite. What a tragedy! Those who had been lifted up to drive his people into success became the very cause of them to fall. Jehu could not have mirrored himself in his predecessor. When he was lifted up God wanted him to follow His directions and not have him follow the bad example.

Those sins committed by someone cause The Lord to work into putting that person down considering that He can only honour those who stand firm in His Word, those who serve Him with joy. Keep an eye on what you do, and on what you believe in and on those lessons you are teaching with your lifestyle. If you happen to become a shame to God’s work The Lord will certainly work against your plans. His will is for you to be cheerful and for you to have a sense of accomplishment.

The worst thing that may happen to you is to have your spiritual realm cut off considering that, whenever you are to be used with any gift which requires a greater measure of power, you will ended up being on your own and helpless. The Almighty always honours those who trust in Him; those who do His will; those who abide by His commandments with all their heart.

As demons see that God is working against your life they will come and they will attack your boundaries. Then your faith will become weak, your energy will lessen and you will become someone everybody will be talking about with pity and disdain. Yet, that is not what The Lord has lifted you up for, but for you to shine in His presence.

So don´t give the enemy the opportunity for him to carry out his destructive work in your life, nor allow him to devastate your family. On the contrary, seek The Lord and in case you feel you are drifted away you must ask Him for forgiveness and assume your stand as a winner. In Christ you don’t lose a single battle. A simple defeat is already a sign of sin in your life considering that The Word says that we are always led in triumph (II Corinthians 2: 14).

You have been called to give our Father joy, to lend money to many people and never to borrow it from anyone; that is the reason why you must not go away from the mission He has granted you through His Word. Those who do not fulfil The Holy Scriptures are saying to The Lord that He does not need to fulfil His promises considering that that does not make any difference for them at all. God will honour all those who put in Him their trust.

If Jehu had been faithful a quite distinct story about him could have been written. May your life story be remembered by your being faithful to The Lord, and by the fact that you did fulfil all His will and that is the reason why The Almighty honoured you as promised. But being willing to do so is not enough you need to prove your love to God, and that you have His commandments and keep them (John 14: 21). You will only be loved by Him that way.
