The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance.

Psalm 16:6

Complaining about the things that God gives you is not a nice thing to do. Maybe you have not fully grasped the Word of God. So instead of complaining, you should pray for Him to grant you understanding. Otherwise, the enemy will try to make you act like Eve, who did not believe that God had spoken the truth when He prohibited her and her husband to eat the forbidden fruit.

The Israelis provoked the Lord to anger when they complained about the food He had provided them in the desert. He sent manna because He knew that in the precarious conditions in which His people lived, that food was the ideal one. The same thing God does for us today and to disbelieve in His wisdom will cause many to be disqualified for His work.

No matter what mission the Lord gives you: do not complain! Today, there are many people who also groan and moan about what happens to them for fulfilling God\’s call. The present-day grumblers should examine what happened to the children of Israel who also grumbled against many divine decisions. Indeed, God sees ahead and knows everything, and that’s why He oftentimes does not allow His children to marry someone they deem to be the right one for themselves. The Lord even knows what the fruits of such wedlocks would be like. All the actions of our Father are good.

Another important thing to notice is that the Almighty is righteous to everyone. He wants the best for His creatures, and especially for His children. The best and wisest course of action is to never rise up against God\’s decisions, but rather receive them as wonderful gifts, with lowliness and gratitude.

My brethren, it was the Lord who established the boundary lines of your inheritance. Because He knows you and your capacity – which, by the way, was given by God – He caused the lines to fall in pleasant places. In

another version of the Bible (Contemporary English Version), the first part of Psalm 16:6 is translated as follows: “You make my life pleasant”. By the way, all the things God does have a purpose, even the desert which you are going through. That’s why He traced the boundary line of what you can endure or enjoy. So be forever thankful.

Believe that the lines He drew concerning your inheritance have fallen in pleasant places. Now, do not covet anyone’s inheritance, but trust in the fact that His plan for you was conceived out of the love He has for you. He who mumbles and grumbles because of the circumstances or the task he was given ends up failing to enjoy the good things that the Father has in store for him.

Your inheritance, which is beautiful in every way, was planned by the greatest Architect of all time. So praise God for your portion and see how much you have been loved.

In Christ with love,

R. R. Soares
