Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart.

Psalm 73: 1

The amazing message of the verse above is that all the words, the promises and the works of The Lord are good. His works are not carried out without expertise or with negligence – but with perfection instead. His love is complete and His counsels are the best. None of His works calls for a change because they’re done by The One who’s perfect in all ways.

The Most High was good to Israel – a nation which has its source in Abraham himself – and they had been told that their offspring would be greatly blessed considering that they represented the people of the promise. We can see the divine hand acting in favour of The Israelites all over the History of Israel. Every time they turned to The Most High – due to their Covenant with Him – it turns out that The Almighty set out to meet them, to help them with His might so they’d be delivered from their enemies.

Christians are our contemporary Israel which used to symbolise The Church of The Lord Jesus. The servants of God in the past had to face problems like ours nowadays. So, in their distress they cried out to God who would stretch His hand to help them.

If we turn to Him today as well all those pending issues we have will be sorted out by Him. Yet, there’s a requirement we have to meet here: the secret is to have a pure heart. Again, having a pure heart is the requirement for our Father to operate in our favour! Because He’s holy and completely separated from sin The Lord cannot operate on behalf of those who don’t serve Him in holiness because sinning conceals His face from men. The people of Israel learned that, once they were stripped of their sins, they should wrestle against evil power without being intimidated in the least, without fearing being ultimately defeated.

What’s having a pure heart about? Some people have struggled to achieve an immaculate heart; yet, what they ignore is that to do it they only need to look carefully at the messages of The Holy Word to them and the next step then would be for them to change their behaviour. Those who do it will never lose any battle. Now, he who’s pure deep there in his inner being is always good to everybody, they don’t take seriously any harm anybody might have caused them and they’re indeed keen on forgiving those who’ve been offensive to them.

Those whose hearts are pure are qualified to experience the best of God because it turns out that their intentions please Him a lot. They don’t mistrust anybody, and they feel genuine love towards people without expecting anything in return and whenever they’re offended they don’t talk back with the same level of aggressiveness. Yet, with faith and determination they keep in the way designed by The Holy Spirit.

The benefits our Fathers grants someone signals how their heart is now; yet, those who are in error will never be answered by The Most High. Those who haven’t surrendered to The Lord will see that their reluctance in getting converted is one of the most successful blows from the devil against their lives. We must know that this will cause those people to be missing out on the best bit faith in Jesus has to offer them – salvation itself.
