Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, by His name YAH, and rejoice before Him.
Psalm 68:4
The act of singing “to” the Lord and not only “about” Him makes someone’s soul reach the maximum expression of his or her life and enables a complete rapport between the creation and the Creator. He who has such an experience learns how to enjoy peace and all the blessings God has for man (Isaiah 1:19). As a result, he will find out that no door will be closed for any of the plans that the Holy Spirit has revealed to him (Job 42:2). Singing to the Lord is more than making sounds to the beat of some nice music; it is to let the spirit enter into communion with the Father. This is highly fulfilling because it makes the Author of all good things rejoice in us. The good thing is that the joy of the Lord is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10).
Singing to the Lord is singing praises to His name. He who learns the value that the name of Jesus has and uses it discovers there are no obstacles for him. Then, the impossible becomes possible; incurable diseases disappear, temptations beat a retreat, and the person starts to live abundantly. He who understands the importance of singing to the Name of Jesus leads a different kind of life because in any situation, however difficult it is, he has the key that opens and closes any door.
Our God rides on clouds of praise and worship. He does His work when we enter into His awe-inspiring presence and give Him due praise. The Lord is the strength of our life. He who allows the Lord to be always around him will see that God, in fact, is the One who works wonders. Remember that God is holy, and if there is evil in your heart, unconfessed sins, forbidden desires, evil plans or evil intents, your losses will be big because it means sin is reigning over your life and, therefore, you will never achieve all the things that belong to you according to the Scriptures (Galatians 5:18-22). In order for the Lord to be by your side, your heart must be clean.
Do not be overcome by wrong feelings and do not attempt to receive anything from the Lord while evil is dominating your life. The first thing you have to do is to be honest with the Father. Turn down every temptation of obtaining things while you have not made amends with the Almighty. Solve, first, your problems and then discover that this Name is above every name (Philippians 2:9).
The secret is to enter into true communion with the Father (John 4:23). Your involvement with the Lord should be such that your soul will rejoice before the divine presence. Why not start now to get things right with God and take possession of what He has for your life? Enjoy the inspiration now present in your life and start talking with Him. Be truthful and the Holy Spirit will guide you through the path of happiness (Psalm 16:11). Sing to Him, praise His holy Name and you will know the right time to give Him your very best.
In Christ with love
