Moreover all these curses shall come upon you and pursue and overtake you, until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you. Deuteronomy 28.45

Being sloppy about God’s statutes makes a tremendous difference in the life of the person who takes such an attitude. Certainly, this person will be oppressed as long as he is not converted. It is like someone who knows that he is forbidden to eat a certain food, but does so and says that he does not understand why he suffers when he gets ill. They even resent of the fact that others can eat that food, and they can’t. Allergy is serious!

The Lord would never play games with anyone by speaking misleading words. Now, the Scriptures must be observed by those who want to get rid of problems. The wise soon do the will of the Most High, because then they will be rewarded. The rebellious, on the other hand, indulge in forbidden practices and bear with the damage. As our Father, the Lord exhorts us about disobedience towards His Word. Be wise (Job 28:28).

From verse 15 to 44, the Almighty warns of the evils that will befall those who have no interest in avoiding error. Therefore, they will endure suffering, mentioned in the Scriptures, which will come upon the unruly. We must believe in the One who is the Truth and shows what we will receive by heeding His Word. No evil will befall anyone who does the bidding of the Most High (Psalm 91). Examine the Bible and set yourself completely free!

The list of warnings goes on and on, but the unbelievers think that they are of no concern to them. However, if they do not examine themselves, they will see the consequences of their bad choices. To fail to heed the voice of the Lord is the height of rebellion against Him. Unfortunately, some consider themselves “lucky” and capable of rejecting God’s guidance. Thus, they face many problems. The worst blind man is the one who doesn’t want to see. Be vigilant!

We need to pay attention to God, to keep His commandments and judgments, because this simple act will prevent us from being hit by the fiery darts of the devil (Ephesians 6.16). But those who do not believe in the Lord are already paying a high price. Whoever you are, become the obedient and successful son/daughter in every way. Now, if you want to go through all kinds of problems, ignore the Word!

The writer of the book of Proverbs was used to ask the following questions: Who has woe? Who has sorrow? Who has contentions? Who has complaints? Who has wounds without cause? Who has redness of eyes? (Proverbs 23.29). Here is the answer: Those who linger long at the wine, Those who go in search of mixed wine (Proverbs 23.30). In this context, wine symbolizes sin. There is “mixed drink” being added to the biblical record.

It is best to obey the statutes, for they will give you wisdom to become free from evil. The obedient will taste divine love, but those who do not fit the Word will be afflicted by the enemy. Convert now!

In Christ, with love,

God, our good Teacher! Why would we linger near wine, or seek mixed drinks, when we have Your clear and pure Word that protects us? May Your mercy enlighten our conscience so that we do not walk as the world desires and forces us to!

We know how to live away from curses! They hit those who act badly and don't let themselves be taught by You. We don't want any suffering pursuing us and acting inside Your house, our body. Therefore, we determine that we will follow You today and always!

We will obey Your commandments; thus, we will see Your glory upon us and our family. We ask Your forgiveness for the times we have not listened to You. From now on, with Your help, we will observe Your holy Word!
