You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8.44

What a fantastic revelation the Lord gave to Jacob’s descendants, who did not serve Him in a true way, as the Scriptures prescribed. The only way to serve the Master is by showing sincerity, respect, and obedience. Without these three pillars, you will not succeed, from requests to thanksgiving for any blessings received (Isaiah 1.12-17). They did not see how much they were loved, because they clung to an empty faith in the ritualism they practiced.

God’s revelations always trouble us, because they come to improve our response to the commandments. Those who are deceived in what they think is God’s will, by what is recorded in His Word, will be taught to amend their actions. All of the Lord’s ordinances for us have several purposes: to participate in the doing of His will, to prove our love for Him, and to be rewarded now and for eternity (John 14.21).

The Israelites had strayed from the Lord’s eternal plan! They had received the mission to show Him to the world, but they thought small when they saw the potential of that land (Deuteronomy 8.7-9). They didn’t realize that the fertile land was a symbol of the Kingdom of Heaven. Do we understand the potential of our faith in Christ or have we acted like them? How can the heirs of the promises be satisfied with so little? Mercy!

Jacob’s descendants exchanged God for the devil and were happy with the crumbs they received. Isn’t this the same mistake we make when we think that God can do anything, but His miracles never happen in our lives? It is time to really convert to Him and use the power given to us in the Name of Jesus: And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son (John 14.13). The meaning of asking in this verse is to take possession of the blessing!

Whoever does not take hold of what is freely given to him in the Beloved does not live at the highest level and, worse, proves that he loves the one who is homicidal from the beginning. Only divine mercy can keep us. We are set free by knowing the Truth, walking in the revelations of the Book of God, far from lies. We can never say that the Lord is true by proving otherwise with our testimony. We need to change now!

Never believe in fear, because it is the voice of the devil taking control of your life. Every servant of the Lord must be bold like the lion, who does not hesitate to pounce on a crocodile in the river, plucking it out of the water to eat it (Proverbs 28.1). In the devil there are only lies and well-armed snares (Ephesians 6.11). Be a representative of the King of Heaven and enjoy the abundant life He offers (John 10:10b). This pleases God!

Ignore the enemy’s threats, because there is no truth in him. According to the Lord Jesus, the devil is a liar and the father of lies. Whoever believes and trembles when he speaks displeases God, who is the Truth.
