03/09/2023 - HAVE TURNED BACK TO THE INIQUITIES

They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers who refused to hear My words, and they have gone after other gods to serve them; the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken My covenant which I made with their fathers. Jeremiah 11.10

As we look at God’s Word, we see that the devil’s plans come back. What is worse about this is that some people welcome these evil wiles into their hearts. Some individuals who claim to be from God cheer and applaud when they feel that someone is listening to them. However, this will certainly not stand up in the face of a just and holy judgment, even though most are unaware that the kingdom of death is behind those who stand against order in God’s house. We need help!

Jeremiah said that the people of his time returned to the iniquity of their first parents. Thus, there was a Korah, who joined two citizens who were dissatisfied with the peace they had. The most senseless plot was born from this dissatisfaction (read Numbers, chapter 16). To return to the actions of Korah, or of Miriam, is terrible. Remember: Moses’ sister also let herself be used by the evil one and, because of that, she was sentenced to stay one week outside the camp; therefore, outside the Lord’s protection (read Numbers, chapter 12). Convert now!

Jeremiah reveals that the citizens of Judah allowed themselves to be led by the same demons of rebellion and evil that led the Israelites to tempt God ten times during the journey through the wilderness. These spirits are still around, leading many to murmur against God and those His chose to lead His work in their days. Don’t be whining, for no doubt the Lord knows how many times we had a tantrum before Him. Take care of yourself!

The people of Judah began to look to the gods of Canaan for help, despising the Fountain that followed them to quench their thirst.  In the same way, today many people complain about what they consider divine wickedness, claiming that when they pray, they receive no answer. It is necessary to teach everyone that the Most High cannot answer those who don’t have faith. Everything we receive from Him comes by His grace, through the use of faith (Mark 11.23). Those who fail to follow directions receive nothing!

When we despise the Covenant that God made with man, which came into effect from the moment we assumed our salvation, we are rejecting the Lord. Now, it is easy to walk with a heart full of God’s presence. When the enemy tries to do us harm, the Most High will take action and deliver us from evil. God cannot give the yes if we are outside the reach of His action. Whoever is in Christ is always answered!

Jeroboam’s revolt against David’s kingdom caused Israel to be divided into two nations. The ten rebellious tribes took the name of Israel, Samaria, Ephraim, or the Northern kingdom, but Judah, who was joined by Benjamin to form the Southern kingdom, remained faithful to the house of David. However, the Northern kingdoms grew and became spoiled as well, for they began to seek help from Baal, the god of promiscuity. Judah remained faithful to the Lord Jehovah, the Lord of lords.

The Northern kingdom fell during the reign of Hosea, before Shalmaneser, king of Assyria (read 2 Kings 17). But even though Judah saw the error of Samaria, which led to its destruction, it also sinned and, for this reason, was taken into captivity in Babylon 135 years after Samaria (read 2 Kings 24 and 25). Watch, pray and trust!

In Christ, with love,

God, whom we hurt! One cannot understand how Judah forgot about the fall of Samaria and did not turn to You. 135 years passed, and no light could be seen to keep them steadfast in the face of adversity. The faithful will be spared and saved!

Just like the inhabitants of Samaria, the Southern kingdom returned to commit the wickedness of their first fathers. There was a conspiracy among them to no longer serve the One who had brought them out of Egypt and promised that they would never again leave that land. But they did not believe!

The kingdom of the North and the kingdom of Judah broke Your covenant, so they had to march off to a distant land. At first, the people in Judah were more faithful, but as time went by, they became religious. Help us to serve You, Father!
