If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.

I John 1: 6

Our conduct and what goes on in our heart is what really matters to The Lord. Some people get to the point of confessing they’re in The presence of The Most High but although they’re constantly citing The Word of God, deep inside them they’re actually walking with the enemy instead.

It’s a good idea to look into yourself and see what really is crossing your mind and also those feelings dwelling in your heart because if you let your mind be packed by any evil thought you won’t get things right. As a matter of fact, only what’s in your inner being is what really matters.

There is a mob of demons which works specifically in the lives of many servants of God by convincing them that there’s nothing wrong in sheltering both in one’s mind and heart certain banned practices by The Lord. Yet, those who believe in them end up losing their communion with The Most High and, sooner or later, they’ll become dwelling of those evil spirits.

In fact, when we have communion with our Father our most intimate thoughts and desires are always spotless. When, for instance, we let filthy ideas dwell in our being He has to leave us on our own considering that He cannot live together with sin. 

Being tempted doesn’t mean falling into temptation. Yet, when a person is carried about by it they’re not only falling but they’re also making themselves into a dwelling of the forces of darkness.

It’s not enough to say you belong to God, you have to prove it. It doesn’t matter what you say, but only what the Lord says about you. If something wrong has been dwelling in your heart it means you’ve already fallen into transgression. In that case you must repent as soon as possible and not give in to any foul and dangerous practices. Look! Holiness – the righteousness of The Kingdom of God – is what you’re to seek in the first place (Matthew 6: 33).

Examine yourself right now and see if there’s any filth crowding your mind. What has been drawing your attention? When you go to bed what goes on in your heart? If they’re sinful feelings you ought to be careful because The Holy Spirit will not strive forever with man (Genesis 6: 3).

Our witness has to be true. Yet, whenever we let error dwell in our minds or when we deem as worthy particular attitudes which lead us into sinning – we end up walking in darkness – then the worst happens: we begin telling lies. In fact, once we allow any error to break into some part of our being, we begin making false statements against The Words of the Lord which says we are a holy nation, His own special people (I Peter 2: 9) – therefore we are not practicing The Truth any longer.

The danger is precisely here: we fail to keep on practicing The Truth. The enemy, being aware of our lack of qualification to resist his treachery, comes up with all sorts of evil arrows and fires them at us. Next, even having the knowledge of our rights in The Scriptures we become powerless, prevented from giving in to hellish attacks and this is how our crown is taken off, fallen (Lamentation 5: 16). What horrible thing to happen! Isn’t that so?

My prayer is for you, my brother and sister, to always be in communion with God and to practice The Truth.
