He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. (Revelation 21:7)

God takes care of his children as a true father does. His wish is that we prosper, be healthy and successful in all things (Psalm 1:3; 3 John 2) – in other words, that we lack nothing. Now, there is one condition: we must overcome (Revelation 3:21). This means that in order to inherit all things, we will face struggles, some of which will be very hard, but we need not fear any of them.

When he says “he who overcomes”, the Lord makes clear that he has no favorites. So the idea that there are people who have come into the world to succeed in everything is not biblical, but rather a misunderstanding on the part of those who do not pay attention to what the Scriptures say, after all, the notion that there are individuals predestined to succeed and others to suffer is an invention of the enemy. The truth is that the opportunity is the same for everyone.

The expression “he who overcomes” expresses the idea that anyone can be victorious. If the Lord had already chosen who the lucky ones would be, He would not have made that statement. Look, you and me and everybody else: we all have the potential to overcome. Just read the "Manufacturer\’s Manual" – the Bible – on how to do the work and put ourselves into action, because there is a prize for those who achieve victory: they will inherit all things.

All wonders of the natural world, as well as of the spiritual one, were created by the Lord and belong to Him. However, we know only a little of these realms because the best is saved for last, as at the wedding in Cana of Galilee (John 2:1-11). In fact, the Word says that eye has not seen nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God prepared for those who love Him (1 Corinthians 2:9). So he who overcomes will not only escape from eternal destruction, but will also inherit the heavenly riches forever. On the other hand, great loss awaits he who does not overcome.

Besides the divine inheritance, which is so awesome that is beyond our understanding, we will have the Lord as our God – which means that nothing will be impossible for us. He will be by our side to provide what we need, after all, the Lord can do anything in the blink of an eye without ever having to prepare or reason.

He who does not lose the battle of holiness – for without it no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14) – or any other battle, and does God’s will, shall have the Almighty as his God and Father.

My brethren, if you act this way, your eternal life will be very blessed. So, do everything not to miss it.

In Christ with love,

R. R. Soares
