Then the anger of the LORD was aroused against Uzza, and He struck him because he put his hand to the ark; and he died there before God.

I Corinthians 13: 10

It is God who leads His work, and that is the reason why we needn’t do anything we deem to be better to help Him. Do not get on any mission not assigned to you by The Lord even if you are aiming at giving the divine work a hand. In the context of the biblical message highlighted above we can see that God did not get Uzza to do anything, but he himself felt moved inside in worrying about the risk of the Ark leaning over. Yet, The Most High had something different in mind concerning what was going on at that point.

It is true that we are expected to do everything that our Father puts in our hearts, and then, as we get hands-on, He Himself will show us what steps to take. You must always believe that if the “oxen trip over” The Lord will come through considering that He is mighty. Jesus firmly stated that He does not accept any testimony from men (John 5: 34); that explains the reason why Uzza lost his life. Others also ended up paying a high price for being aware of the will of The Lord, and yet, they paid no notice to it.

On account of the downfall of Adam, men’s assistance is useless when it comes to fulfilling the divine will. We even need to take the power of prayer, and worship and whatever else we do for The Lord from The Heavens. “Without Me”, said Jesus, “you can do nothing” (John 15: 5). The best choice is to be in communion with Him, and to pay heed to His Speech in His Word and to put His teachings into practice as well. Those who stick to The Spirit’s standards never take any unpleasant attitude to our Father.

The work of God is under His control and if He allows something to happen, you only have to let Him take care of what must be done to sort it out. Whenever men realize that something must be done in the divine work and then they come up with what they mistakenly deem to be a practical solution – It is very likely that they are taking quite the opposite attitudes The Most High had planned before. Just like it happened to Uzza, a wrong interference might pass a fast judgement so the person involved ends up paying the price at once.

We needn’t strive to do what seems to be the right thing,  for that might go against the divine plans even though “the Ark” is leaning to one side; the best choice here is not keeping one’s arms crossed but allow The Lord to speak out – and He will certainly do it. The Lord is never late nor is He out of line to do what must be done.

Those who stick to The Spirit’s standards will never fulfil their unleashed desires of flesh. Those who get in the way of the flow of God’s work are committing a sin. It is not right, for instance, questioning the decision of changing the pastor of a church, nor driving a group into rebellion against the decisions of The Most High. Do all you can so the anger of The Lord will never go against you!

Those who please God are people who seek to know His will in the first place, and then they do the work with the strength He grants them. Now, those who are obedient to The Lord will get the divine reward on the Great Day.

In Christ, with love,
