After forbidding Moses to approach the bush burned with a fire other than the one he knew, the Most High revealed Himself to him. This happened without leaving any doubt about Who was demonstrating His power – the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Lord was not economical in revealing Himself, but repeated that He was the God of those who had a Covenant with Him.
The Lord declared Himself the God of Moses’ father, since Amram, when he married Jochebed, begot Aaron, Moses and Miriam. The Almighty does not fail to mention the name of Moses’ father, because that man believed in Him and did not let Moses be killed at birth. The Most High never forgets those who do His will. There is no injustice in Him. Man shall reap what he sows (Galatians 6:7,8). Amram was recognized for his deeds.
God meant that Moses was only alive because of the faith of his parents, for they obeyed Him, and not the king’s command (Hebrews 11:23). As another servant of the Father said: So Samuel said, “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams (1 Samuel 15:22). There would be times when he would need to act this way. So do we!
The battle faced by Amram, Moses’ father, so that the midwife would not obey the king of Egypt, was won by faith. That is why the Lord calls Himself his God. Paul said: For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38,39). He is your God!
When speaking that He was the God of Abraham, the Almighty was saying that He had no problems whatsoever, for when the patriarch began to walk in His presence and be perfect in His will, He was able fulfill His promise (Genesis 17:1). Is this what has separated us from the operations of the Holy Spirit? Seek to know the Bible about what you can do in the Name of Jesus. He will be with you!
Isaac did not quarrel with the Philistines when they took the wells of water that he dug, because he had faith to dig others (Genesis 26:17-25). The fear shown before God made Jacob, his son, not to stretch out his hand against Laban, his father-in-law: Unless the God of my father, the God of Abraham and the Fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely now you would have sent me away empty-handed. God has seen my affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked you last night (Genesis 31:42).
The Almighty reminds us of the struggle Jacob had with Him, so that He would take away from Esau, his brother, the hatred that could lead to the death of Jacob and his family. The supplanter felt that from his seed would come the Deliverer of Israel and Savior of the world. Do not be deceived! Through you, many will be led to salvation. Don’t lose heart in the battle! You only have one option: to win!
In Christ, with love,

God, Fulfiller of Your Promises! Moses knew the history of his people, the Hebrews. It all originated with Abraham, whom You commanded to leave his land and his kindred and go to the territory that would be shown to him. He obeyed! Help us to obey You!
Moses knew of Isaac's fear, declared by Jacob. That is why, years later, You told him that You would make his seed a greater and better people than the Israelites who wished to return to Egypt, he persuaded You not to do so (Exodus 32:11-14,32-34). Instruct us in the Truth!
With Jacob, You fulfilled Your promise, when it seemed that there would be no more way, for Esau, the other son of Isaac and Rebekah, was born first, but had Jacob's hand clutched to his heel, according to the prophecy. Amen!
and Serug lived after he begat Nahor two hundred years, and begat sons and daughters.
(Genesis 11:23)
