Now Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him and exalted him exceedingly.
2Chronicles 1.1
At the beginning of his kingdom, Solomon was prominent among others, since he did not wait for blessings to come upon him, but rather did what he had to do and pursued them. The right time to fulfill God’s will is when we understand what he wants us to do; therefore, to miss the moment of this revelation could mean to miss the full blessing. When “the light turns green”, there is no excuse for not starting to do God’s work.
He who serves the Almighty God is known by his efforts to keep the commandments written in the Scriptures. However, those who serve themselves, or do not want to get too involved with God, never try their best to honor him. The problem is that there is no way to please God other than loving him with all our heart and strength (Matthew 22.37; Mark 12.30; Luke 10.27). Therefore, brethren, focus on the work of God as if it were a matter of life or death, which actually is.
Serve the Lord as your God, and you will see what he can do in your favor. To be a servant of the Almighty God means to honor his Word and strive to please him in all things, without straying from his path. In fact, he who has God as his Lord can count on a partner, since he has done everything that is necessary for us to live. All we need to do is agree with his words, never accepting any lies of the enemy.
The Almighty God will always be at your side, as long as you keep his commandments, which are not burdensome (1John 5.3). When our heavenly Father opens our understanding to do something, it is because he has planned and prepared everything so that it will happen as we ordain. That is what happened to Elijah when he announced that abundant rain was on the way (1Kings 18.41).
The Lord will magnify he who is zealous in keeping his duties (Ecclesiastes 12.13) and will never forget those who dedicate themselves to his will. However, all he needs is someone who believes in the impossible, because then he will be able to honor him with his promises. So, brethren, do not hesitate in believing in what the Lord says, even if it seems impossible to you. With him, there is no way you will not succeed in all things.
Both he who fears the Lord and he who does not pay much attention to what God says are known by the way they live. So you must examine which path you have walked, because this will be the “reading” of your faith; after all, we must be living epistles of the King, which will be read by all those who do not know the eternal truth (2Corinthians 3.2-3).
