I said, “I shall not see Yah, The Lord in the land of the living; I shall observe man no more among the inhabitants of the world.  Isaiah 38.11

After being healed, king Hezekiah wrote a song and sang in the house of God, along with his friends and relatives. His miracle was so great, that the news spread all over. What the Most High does or will do for you will also lead many people to be amazed with this God who is so personal and friendly to those who delight in fulfilling His commands and serve Him with fear and trembling. He is tremendous at working in favor of His beloved people.

Hezekiah had come to a point where he could no longer bear the disease that was afflicting him. He began to confess that he would no longer see the Lord in the land of the living, which, for many saved people does not make a difference, for they never see the Most High act in their favor. It is a shame that the children of God be cast out, while prostitutes and whores precede them in faith. Why do people give more attention to futile things than to what God says?

Are you always answered in all your prayers, in just a few or have you never been blessed by the Lord? If the answer is the first one, then you have been wise, for not only have you had your needs met, but you will also be able to fight along God and prevail when something serious and evil comes before you, just like it happened to the king of Judah. However, if God is just an illustrious absent person in your life, what will you do when you receive your death sentence?

God told Hezekiah to prepare his house, for he would die with the evil that was afflicting him (Isaiah 38:1). He knew that Isaiah, the messenger of the Most High, was faithful, and because of that, he could consider himself excluded; and that´s what he did. However, something happened in his spirit, perhaps a memory of a problem solved in his life or in someone else´s life. So then, he began to pray, and in a matter of minutes, the prophet came back to give him the good news that he would live (verse 5).

It is not right to accept an information that you will leave before you turn 70 or 80 years old, like the Bible says, which is the age authorized by God (Psalm 90:10). However, if you don’t meet the Lord and you don’t know how He feels, then, when a plague strikes you, you will be conformed and think that in your case, it is the will of God. However, king Hezekiah was not conformed with the news coming from the Lord and he pleaded his case, and was healed.

Don’t say anything that contradicts the Holy Book; on the contrary, declare what is written in it, because the Lord has pleasure in fulfilling His Word. If you don’t wage war, if you don’t strive, you will lead many people to failure, which certainly would have happened to Jacob, for example, if he had not fought with God all night long and prevailed. He had the promise that he would go back to his land in peace and he would not be afflicted by any evil, and that is why he prayed and was answered. God is the same today!

Tell what the Father says about you, assume what belongs to you and fulfill His orders; then, when you least expect, a good news will come from His heart and tell you about the great things that are prepared for you. Today is your day to take a stand in the Word and give testimony about the goodness of the Almighty God.

In Christ, with love,

God! There are many titles with which we can name You, for, when You say something or do something good, a new title is added on to You. When we pay attention to Hezekiah´s song, we can say that you are a Extender of life. All glory and praise to You!

This king knew You for quite some time already, and this made him plead his case when there was no more hope. Even his heart considered him excluded from humanity, but Your love prevailed, and he won.

I pray for my readers who are going through great trials; some of them are certain that there is nothing else You can do for them. Did Your mercies cease? Has Your love shortened? No, a thousand times no! Help us to pray and prevail in Your Name. Amen!
