“A man will be commended according to his wisdom, but he who is of a perverse heart will be despised.” (Proverbs 12:8)

When men were created according to the Lord’s image and likeness (Genesis 1:16) He endowed them with the necessary illumination. Adam, who was wiser and more capable than what we can imagine, was in charge of naming all the creations of our Father. Were he not qualified to do that, God wouldn’t have asked him to carry out that plan. Yet, Adam’s light faded away when he sinned. That light was God Himself getting out of him. So, darkness came over Adam leaving him under the enemy’s dominion. Today, in order for us to be able to make the best decisions or to choose the most appropriate way to go we must be enlightened by the Word of God. Without it we’re blind.

God’s light makes us commendable and praiseworthy. The angel sent to Prophet Daniel said that he was a dearly loved man (Daniel 9:23) whose beauty wasn’t physical but spiritual. We are respected, admired and praised when we have the Light of the Lord shining within our spirit. The enemy knows those who belong to God and that’s the reason why he respects them. So, do your best for The Light to shine in you every day, but in order to achieve this end you must read the Bible and hear the Word – That’s the only way your knowledge will increase!

Our first reaction when we see people being used by the Lord is to say they have a special privilege; but that’s not true because nothing happens by chance. They are used by God because they have paid due attention to the revelation He gave them. That’s something of the uttermost importance! Read what the Scriptures say: “For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.” (Matthew 13:12). We become strong and efficient with the divine help but that only happens to those who heed what the Lord says. We share the responsibility with Christ for what we obtain from Him.
Those who reject correction to adopt their own way of living are being driven by the devil. It’s not possible to be neutral when it comes to spiritual matters. Perhaps someone would say: “I’m going to serve neither God nor the devil”. This is a mistake. Those who aren’t in the Light are certainly in darkness (Matthew 12:30). If we just consider the possibility of leaving our Creator – the Source of goodness – we’re giving victory to the devilish power only by willing to do so.

People who shun good are adopting evil as their lord, so they are considered wicked. In so doing, they cause great harm to themselves, to their loved ones and also to their neighbor. Now, he whose heart is evil will lead a very hard life; he’s constantly tormented by the spirits of error which will do all they can to make him suffer.

The devil’s a bad boss; therefore, with no shadow of a doubt, I can say that it’s far better to surrender to The Light than living in darkness. Those who are sensible should never go away from the Light of life because without it their lives will be constantly in danger and prone to suffering.

In Christ, with love,
