It shall come about that as the LORD delighted over you to prosper you, and multiply you, so the LORD will delight over you to make you perish and destroy you; and you will be torn from the land where you are entering to possess it. Deuteronomy 28.63

What happens in your life shows whether or not you fear God’s Word. If you work hard to keep the commandments, you will be successful. However, if you don’t care about what has been said to you, the negligence will make you go through various problems. God is Father for those who are children of His and loves whoever loves Him (John 14:21). Therefore, it is necessary, for those who want to live well, to know and honor the Scriptures.

If you are steadfast in the purpose to do God’s will, everything will go well for you. However, if you fail to fulfill what the Lord commands, the pleasure he had in you ceases to exist, and, thereafter, there will be suffering, problems and lack of fulfillment. Also, if you insist in doing wrong things, the answers to your prayers will cease, even if they are made for hours. The warning of the scripture is not a joke – the Almighty clearly says that He will rejoice to see you suffer.

The message is very serious because it tells you that your actions will determine whether the Lord will delight in seeing you happy or suffering. You choose how the Lord’s pleasure upon you will be. If you keep the commandments, He will make you prosper, open up your ways, He will close the doors of trouble and make sure everything and everyone is well with you. However, if you decide not to honor Him the divine pleasure changes.

So check your attitude towards the Word, because you may be despised by the Almighty. Remember that it’s not just walking with the righteous; if you have a heart full of wickedness and live only thinking about yourself, not caring whether or not it hurts the Father’s heart, you will always stumble, you will hurt yourself at all times and will not have answers to your requests.

Therefore, the questions that remain are: why not honor the Most High? Why love suffering? Would it not be better and more rewarding to let the Lord take delight in you for good? This way He would make you multiply. What if there were no enemies that would remain standing before you? Now if you put the Divine’s will as a target, the good doors will not be closed, the hills will be transported, and your womb will not be infertile. The secret is to perform what God has given you as a mission.

Never be the person that the Lord will delight in destroying, consuming and taking out of the Promise Land – the Gospel. Wake up! The Kingdom of God was to be possessed (Mt 11:12). So, enjoy the best of the Almighty, listening to Him, wishing good things and striving to fulfill what the Father has prepared for you. That the Lord may delight in you only to bless you, that is my prayer!
