Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples.

Psalm 149:6-7

How frustrated our God must be to see part of His people being defeated in faith. They should understand that the Almighty does not want to see us crying, cursing the day of our birth, bowing before the enemy and complaining against Him due to some misfortune. The Almighty wants us to be winners in every battle. So if the enemy causes you to suffer any harm, if he dominates your life with forbidden passions or oppresses you with negative or immoral thoughts, you bear a bad witness to your faith.

If you find out who you are in Christ and take a stand, God is ready to let the high praises – those no one has ever discovered – to be in your lips. Our Heavenly Father wants to accomplish Himself in each of His children and to this end He will not allow His Word to fall to the ground. You will be amazed with what you will be able to do in order to praise The One who accomplished such a great salvation in our favor.

The Lord of the heavenly hosts does not want any of His children to be oppressed or dominated by evil forces. He just wants to see them as soldiers of the cross, brandishing the Word, which is sharper than a two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Our General wants you in action, wielding that sword, which is a weapon of attack, not defense.

Religions do a great harm because they are pernicious, they teach a lot of worthless things and cause many people to be held captive to evil spirits, turning them into victims of sin when they get involved with drugs, dishonesty, adultery, homosexuality and other misconducts. The Creator longs for all of His children to execute vengeance on the nations.  It is just not possible to stand still with our arms crossed while the spiritual hosts – the order of evil spirits – oppress so many innocent people.

Brethren, it is not good to frustrate the Lord. The demons that dominate and destroy people must hear the divine rebukes from your mouth. So do not let yourself be carried away by negligence, do not allow the devil to entangle you with his lies and do not be fooled by any kind of temptation. What every child of God needs to do is be firm in faith and wield the two-edged sword – it cuts both in the spiritual and in the material realms to rebuke the agents of hell.

Jesus paid a high price for us to be delivered from the action of evil, so we are no longer an easy prey to the enemy and we have become winners in all things. We know that religion lies when it conveys teachings that are not supported by the Scriptures, so we have to escape it and be what the Lord wants us to be.
