As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

Isaiah 66:13

Man was expelled from the divine presence and on account of that he got to know how painful it is to live a life separated from God. A simple attitude, but taken with his heart, was the cause of that harm having reached us, we who were neither in the Garden of Eden nor ate of the fruit that the first couple ate. The ruthless enemy sowed all evil things in the being that had been created to the image and likeness of our Creator. Now, man knows how hard it is to be apart from The Lord and how hard Satan’s slavery is.

Of course God was not even a bit happy with the state of humans, who began falling the moment in which they put their faith outside Paradise. In pain, Eve and her two daughters began to give birth. Many of them saw their babies dying, others from her generation grew up and they turned into gangsters, idolaters, wizards; briefly, all of them turned apart onto the filthiest ways that exist.

Man that should live for eternity began dying (Romans 5:12). The first ones were still strong and exceeded 900 years old. With time, death began exterminating men at an earlier age. When Jesus came to the world the average of age was about 38. Some managed to live more than that but most of them died very young. So, the plan created by the Lord for the salvation of mankind was fulfilled and Christ was born.

With the coming and the teaching of the Son of God man would recover his place. The spiritual death would be undone and humans would be reconnected to the Most High. The Lord had promised that He would comfort us as a mother comforts her child. Comforting in the biblical language is about giving solution to problems. If the little child has fallen or if he is afraid and, for that reason he cries endlessly, his mother usually holds him and kisses him and tells him tender words and then her child is comforted.

The Lord wants to hold you though you might have done wrongdoings. He knows that the enemy is the one who uses you and if you are delivered from the evil power you will become someone who sets the good example. So, listen to the voice of God and give yourself thoroughly to it. The Almighty One promised that, in Jerusalem, a consolation would be done which would be suitable for all mankind.

Since that Friday when a blood-stained Jesus, hanging on the cross and bearing our pains, sicknesses, diseases, our sins and our pains, shout out the following words: “It is consummated” (John 19:30), man was comforted. Now, God wants to sort out your issues and comfort you.

In Christ, with love,
