04/07/2011 - How to be answered by God

“Hear, LORD, the righteousness and answer my cry; listen to my prayer which is not made with deceitful lips” (Psalm 17:1)
Righteousness is at our disposal, but we need to cry out for it. God may or may not listen to a prayer. Therefore, let us have true lips instead of deceitful ones and let us always be holy (Leviticus 20:7; I Peter 1:15-16).
Righteousness sees the oppression in the lives of God’s servants and it promptly stands before the Lord to intercede for them. Now, the Most High cannot put up with and neither allow evil to cause us suffering or harm. So, as we pay heed to the Holy Word the Almighty God grants us faith with which we can claim our rights. When our faith is aligned with the divine righteousness we fulfil the promise made by Jesus according to which when two of us agree on earth concerning anything we ask, it will be done for us by God (Matthew 18:19). For that reason when seeking the Lord’s help we have to cry out with objectiveness and determination, claiming our victory.
We cannot make up a blessing, but we can and must follow the instructions of our Father which are given to us through His infallible Word. He hears our voice when His righteousness is already working in our favor. If we want to be answered, we must follow what is recorded in the Scriptures.
Besides, it depends on our determination for the Father to pay heed to the prayer we say. Those who pray just for the sake of praying will never be answered; after all, the Most High does not act in any manner whatsoever and He does not answer those who play with spiritual matters. Actually, a successful spiritual life is only possible based on how people react regarding the divine commandments. Therefore, we have to take seriously all matters related to God just as they are revealed to us in the Bible.
My brethren, run away from deceitful lips – those who make up blessings or deny the Scriptures by saying words that are not spoken by the Lord – and do not cry out for just about anything that might cross your mind, but only for those things that are in accordance with the Holy Book. You will never obtain the divine answer for what you think is good for you when, in fact, it is not the case. Well, even your innermost desires will be granted to you as long as you stand firm in the Everlasting Word.
Complying with what is revealed to you and confessing it with faith are attitudes that make your lips to be truthful. The first step is to give the Word a due place to in your life, because he who listens to what the Father says will surely learn what He wants to do. Then, after you lips become truthful, God’s power will confirm His promises. On the other hand, he who confesses failures and considers himself inapt will have deceitful lips.
In all fields of your life, my brethren, you must be holy. Do not let iniquity dwell in your heart and in so doing you will receive Grace from the Lord and the divine power will work in your life.
